Inventory Analyst

What- The Role:

This position is responsible for supporting with analysis & execution of inventory flow to achieve optimal deployment of inventory supply for guest demand.  This role involves some data entry, someone with a data centric background will do great, retail domain experience is a nice to have.  There are a lot of data sets in excel, this role involves pulling the data from excel and a variety of other different systems and doing ad-hoc reports for the team.  Teamwork and clear communication are essential, along with razor sharp attention to detail in data.

  • Assists department execution of inventory flow activities through adjustment of system inventory parameters that impact replenishment and allocation of product.
  • Under guidance of planner, analyzes & executes DC to DC transfers, including data entry of quantities for system loading.
  • Supports team in updating a range of weekly reports and ad hoc business tasks. 
  • Leverages systems, tools, and data to optimize inventory investments by style-colour and size across store locations, distribution centers, and e-commerce channels. 
  • Supports in forecast validation, analysis/decision support under the direction of a manager or planner

 

Who- the Candidate: 

  • College certificate or University degree is required
  • 1-2 years’ experience in merchandise planning, business, or data-analytic focus.
  • Good business acumen, articulate, detail oriented
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel is required. 
  • PowerBI experience 
  • Good time management and prioritization skills
  • Any inventory management / sourcing experience to understand retail math.
  • Ability to conduct independent analyses on inventory and sales trends.

 

How much:

$38 - $39/hr + + 4% vacation pay.

What- the Role:

Business Operations Manager. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, and supporting three Senior Managers, this position will increase the efficiency of CLT’s business operations by working with all departments to improve systems and promote cross-functional team dynamics. Representing the CLT’s operations, the Business Operations Manager will liaise with CHF BC’s subsidiaries to align internal office systems, risk management, IT systems, human resources, planning, and communications. The new Manager will ensure that all operations run smoothly and align with sound business practices and will also take the lead in engaging senior managers to implement process improvements. The Business Operations Manager will manage a variety of projects, in different areas of the business and with varying stakeholders, budgets, and timelines. 

Who- the Candidate:

This is an incredible opportunity for someone who is not afraid to tackle challenges and who enjoys collaborating with different groups to come up with common solutions. The successful candidate will be personable, outgoing and adaptable with a keen eye on detail and risk management front of mind. We are looking for people with 7+ years of progressive and relevant work experience. Prior tenures in professional services firms will be viewed very favourably- for example, experience working for an accounting firm, law firm, consulting firm, etc., particularly if these were matrixed organizations with multiple offices and/or partnering closely with a parent company/head office. Experience in not-for-profit or real estate development sectors is an asset, but not at all required.

We are looking for candidates who have proven experience collaborating with leaders to develop and implement operational plans and strategic plans that align with an organization's short and long-term goals. The ideal person for this position will be an organized individual with a proven ability to multi-task, problem-solve and prioritize challenging workloads independently.

Qualified candidates will have experience implementing and optimizing office systems, coordinating IT system improvements, and managing risk through cyber-security and fraud risk assessments (working with external IT consultants and/or the IT team at CHF as needed).  Experience with meaningful cross-departmental collaboration and communication (human resources, finance, marketing, IT, etc.) is required.

Experience writing clear and concise business reports for senior leadership is necessary in this role. 

Ideally candidates will also have experience overseeing insurance renewals and contributing to RFPs (on both sides of the RFP process- bidding and reviewing).

The new Business Operations Manager will ensure a welcoming and efficient work environment that supports a team of engaged, collaborative, and fulfilled employees.

Where:

The Business Operations Manager will be based out of Community Land Trust’s corporate office on Commercial Drive in Vancouver. Option to work from home 1 day/week.

How Much:

Base salary commensurate with depth and relevancy of work experience, skills, and qualifications, in the range of $90,000 to $110,000. Additionally, the Business Operations Manager will receive a generous amount of paid time off, an RRSP match, a small performance-based discretionary bonus, health benefits, and professional development support.   • 3+ years of experience in textile technology, textile quality, or a related field.

  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

What- the Role:

On behalf of our client, SWIM is seeking a new Senior Manager of Logistics. This person will lead logistics from both a day-to-day, functional, and hands-on perspective AND from a long-term strategic perspective. Working collaboratively with colleagues in other areas of supply chain such as warehousing and inventory management, as well as cross-departmentally with folks in finance, HR, sales, manufacturing, etc.
The Sr Mgr will lead a team of direct and indirect reports, and will themselves report into the COO. Managing inbound (from 6+ countries, including countries in Asia), forward (across US & Canada), and reverse logistics.
This new leader will be in charge of carrier management (intermodal, LTL, etc.) and will spearhead logistics process improvements, risk mitigation plans, and system enhancements.
SWIM will provide interested candidates with a thorough job description.

What- the Title:

Please note that this role could potentially be titled Director of Logistics, instead, if the finalist candidate has many years of highly relevant experience and qualifications.

Who- the Candidate:

We are looking for an individual with at least 7 years of relevant and progressive logistics work experience, including at least a couple years leading a team of 5+ people (ideally including middle-management/supervisory level direct reports who have their own team members). Excellent leadership, mentorship, coaching, and people development skills are crucial in this role.
Candidates must have experience with LTL and intermodal logistics for large parcel items. B2B logistics is sought after. US/Canada cross-border forward/reverse logistics experience is highly preferred, as is multi-national inbound logistics (the more countries, the better!).
Qualified candidates will be computer savvy, with hands-on experience using ERP and WMS and proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, V look-ups, etc.).
Some form of relevant post-secondary education is required, and further qualifications such as an MBA or graduate degree in supply chain will be viewed very favourably.

How Much:

Competitive base salary commensurate with level of skills, experience, and education- likely in the range of $110,000 to $140,000. The company will provide their new Logistics leader with a solid overall compensation package, including bonus program, paid vacation and sick days, relevant professional development support, solid health, dental, & vision benefits (lots of areas are covered for employees at 100%), and generous product discounts.

Where:

HYBRID. The company is headquartered in Greater Vancouver, outside of Downtown, with free employee parking and nearby rapid transit. Our client is looking for a Vancouver-based Program Manager to run a sustainability initiative, starting Dec/January. The role involves overseeing three multi-year projects. Each project is run by a Project Manager, and this role is critical to ensure the strategy, plan and delivery of work is aligned across the projects and with wider organisational initiatives.
This can include work within complex cross-functional transformations, standing up new go-to-market initiatives, and targeted efforts within specific geographies and locations. The Program Manager will partner with Global Supply Chain leadership to stand up and lead a project within the strategic portfolio across several functions, including work to plan, design, and deliver against the project deliverables and milestones while helping to enable business priorities, including growth, guest service and cost improvements.
 

  • Manage a series of large high-complexity projects or multiple concurrent projects within the Upstream Supply Chain portfolio and partner with PMO leadership to build detailed project plans, charters, including integration touchpoints, dependencies, and sequencing
  • Monitor project performance against plan as measured by milestones, KPls, and supporting metrics
  • Provide line-of-sight to PMO and functional leadership to issues, risks, and required decisions across the project workstreams
  • Maintain consolidated resource and timeline views across the project
  • Manage the tracking of project budget, change requests, and intake management
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to identify opportunities to reduce costs, drive productivity, better leverage resources, and increase efficiency
  • Work with internal stakeholders to create project charters (scope, objectives, cost, benefits, resourcing, risks) and workplans
  • Assist in implementation and dissemination of effective project management practices across functions, including processes, tools, and standard operating procedures.
  • Partner with the Technology organization to ensure the delivery of defined business capabilities and value within the project scope
  • Collaborate with and oversee 3rd party partners based on specific project scope of service requirements
  • Develop presentation content and support executive-level updates and business reviews.
  • Establish, evaluate and maintain performance standards for all areas of project management to ensure performance targets are achieved while continually looking for ways to enhance delivery and reduce costs
  • Champion our client's culture and core values.
  • Ensure the project team works closely with peers across Global Supply Chain, ensuring alignment and consistency in planning, management and execution

Who – The Candidate:

Ideally, the chosen candidate will have extensive Program Management expertise and familiarity with the apparel development/sourcing process. Experience working in the sustainability field would be an asset.

  • B.A./B.S. in Business, Engineering, or technical area required
  • MBA or other Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 7-10+ years' experience in consulting, project management, or a similar field with a minimum of 3 years in a management role
