What- the Role: 

We are seeking an experienced, talented, and self-motivated Recruitment Consultant to join our close-knit and top-notch recruitment team. The new Consultant can recruit within Accounting & Finance, Human Resources, Administration, and/or Marketing & Communications. This will be a permanent role, in which you will be surrounded by some of the best and most experienced recruiters in Vancouver under the leadership of well-networked and knowledgeable Vancouver recruitment veterans. The new Recruitment Consultant will be working on a variety of searches- contract and permanent, entry-level to senior level individual contributor, diverse corporate functions (not IT)- and for reputable companies of all sizes across the lower mainland and in all industries. Our recruiters are not limited to certain sectors, functions, or geographies. 

Who- the Candidate: 

  • At least 12 months- and preferably 18+ months- of full-cycle recruitment experience in a Recruitment firm is required 
  • Vancouver recruitment experience is preferred but not required for someone who is confident they can quickly establish a local network 
  • Experience recruiting on corporate office-based searches 
  • Excellent communication skills- written, verbal, and non-verbal 
  • Experience working on a high volume of diverse searches
  • Experience using an ATS, with strong ATS documentation, as well as recruitment platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter

Where: 

Swim Recruiting is headquartered in the heart of downtown Vancouver inside the iconic Waterfront Station building (super transit friendly). SWIM provides the opportunity for work-from-home days for our Recruitment Consultants who are ramped up and can be productive from their home office.  

How Much: 

  • SWIM offers two options- full commission (this has the highest earning potential!) or base salary plus lower % of commissions. We are very transparent about realistic earning potential and happy to discuss in detail. 
  • 23 “SWIM DAYS”- to be used for vacation, personal days, family days- whatever you want!  Plus you get your birthday off and occasional bonus days. 
  • Health & Dental benefits, including paramedical allowances 
  • Cell phone plan reimbursement
  • Annual reward trip for top performers… at least, when there isn’t a global pandemic raging! Our early 2020 trip was to Mexico!

You will be recruiting any role that falls under the broad spectrum of Information Technology - from level 1 helpdesk analysts to CTO and everything in between. We typically have over 50 open requisitions open and any one time which are split roughly 50/50 between contract and permanent roles. You have an entrepreneurial mindset, take initiative, are results-oriented, have a strong sense of urgency and value ethics. You are naturally competitive and hate losing. You bring over 2 years of technical recruitment experience and love working in this space.
