What- the Role: 

We are seeking an experienced, talented, and self-motivated Recruitment Consultant to join our close-knit and top-notch Accounting & Finance, Human Resources, and Administration recruitment team. This will be a permanent role, in which you will be surrounded by some of the best and most experienced recruiters in Vancouver under the leadership of well-networked and knowledgeable Vancouver recruitment veterans. The new Recruitment Consultant will be working on a variety of searches- contract and permanent, entry-level to senior level individual contributor, diverse corporate functions (not IT)- and for reputable companies of all sizes across the lower mainland and in all industries. Our recruiters are not limited to certain sectors, functions, or geographies. 

Who- the Candidate: 

  • At least 12 months- and preferably 18 months- of full-cycle recruitment experience in a Recruitment firm is required 
  • Experience recruiting within Accounting & Finance 
  • Vancouver recruitment experience is preferred but not required for someone who is confident they can quickly establish a local network 
  • Excellent communication skills- written, verbal, and non-verbal 
  • Experience working on a high volume of diverse searches
  • Experience using an ATS, with strong ATS documentation, as well as recruitment platforms such as LinkedIn

How Much:

    What - the Role:

    Corporate Accountant reporting into the Controller. The successful candidate will be responsible for corporate monthly close and will assist the Controller with consolidations during quarter-end and assist with note preparations and financial statements. The Corporate Accountant will also be responsible for the day to day duties – including posting bank recs, cleaning up fixed asset ledger, regular amortization and depreciation etc. and reviewing AP.     What- the Role:   

    This role will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing and implementing new and amended IFRS pronouncements and analyzing highly complex accounting issues and transactions. In addition, the successful candidate will prepare technical accounting position papers, and assist in preparing quarterly and annual external consolidated financial statements and disclosures. In addition, the Sr. Analyst will assist in the preparation of recommendations and reports to senior management on accounting treatments for new and complex transactions which would affect both internal and external financial statements, interact and communicate with all levels of management, and liaise and provide support to external auditors. The Sr. Analyst will also assist with SOX compliance for the technical accounting group.

    Who- the Candidate: 

    Swim Recruiting is seeking a CPA, CA with Big 4 experience and 4-5 years progressive experience.  Candidates require broad exposure to ‘a breadth of auditing issues’. The ideal candidate will have performed audits on large public companies, have solid understanding of IFRS, SOX and internal controls, a collaborative and team-oriented approach and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
