    What - the Role: 

    Financial Analyst. The new FA will work alongside other Financial Analysts and will report directly into the Manager, FP&A. Responsibilities are diverse and include forecasting, business valuation, risk quantification, and preparing materials for Board meetings. The name of the game with this role is financial analysis… analysis for M&A opportunities, analysis of contract proposals, analysis of divestment decisions, analysis of potential capital allocation decisions, etc. There will be ad hoc and surprise analysis projects sprinkled in among the regularly scheduled FP&A work. This is a challenging and interesting role and a great way to get to know the ins & outs of a complex global public company.   

    This is a 6-month term contract to start, with opportunity to potentially extend to a longer-term contract or convert to permanent employment.     Who- the Candidate:

    We are seeking analytically-minded finance professionals with strong financial modeling skills gained from a complex organization. 
    • Hands-on experience conducting financial analysis and financial modeling
    • Experience working with public companies (ideally in-house with a public company, otherwise from public practice with public company clients) 
    • Relevant post-secondary education is required and CPA accounting designation (or International equivalent) is highly preferred. 
    • Current and active pursuit of CFA or CBV designation is very much preferred- otherwise, serious intentions to pursue one of these designations in future. 
    • Public practice training is highly beneficial, ideally in a Big 4 firm or another multi-national firm.

    Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Oversees, reviews and approves global payrolls to ensure payments to employees, governments and other stakeholders are paid accurately e.g. Canada, Australia, Peru, Brazil, US, UK, Papua New Guinea

    • Administer the employee Group Benefit Plan including initial set-up for new hires, employee record maintenance and status changes
    • Reconciliation of recurring payroll and benefit accounts and statements (Receiver General remittances, WCB remittances, health/dental, MSP, Life, and LTD insurance)
    • Responsible for tracking and maintaining employee vacation time
    • Work with Department Managers on ad-hoc payroll reporting and management training on Advanced Tracker
    • Provide high-end customer service to managers and employees regarding their pay and benefits queries
    • Develop and maintain sound cross-functional relationships across the business
    • Review existing payroll processes and systems, recommending updates and improvements as required

    Who- the Candidate:

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
    • 3+ years of experience in a Payroll & Benefits role. 
    • PCP and PCM or equivalent Payroll designations an asset
    • Advanced computer and IT skills, especially in Microsoft Office applications
    • Experience with creating process improvement and efficiency
    • Ability to multi-task and operate in a fast-paced environment
    • Excellent customer service skills working with managers and employees
    • Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication

    What- the Role: The new Property Accountant will be responsible for managing a portfolio of 15 buildings, which will include a mix of Residential, Commercial and Strata buildings under management.     What- the Responsibilities:
    • Full cycle accounting experience
    • Full cycles Accounts payables & Accounts Receivable experience

    Who- the Candidate…
    Technical Skills & Experience: 
    • 1-2 years' full cycle accounting experience, and at least 1 year property accounting experience. 
    • Post-Secondary degree or diploma in Business or accounting is a huge asset. 
    • Intermediate knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. 
    • Experience in using a computerized property management accounting system.
