What- The Role:

The Benefits Coordinator (Leaves & Accommodations) will:

  • Support employees in Canada and the USA with leave requests (FMLA, State Leave, Compassionate Care Leave, Personal Leave, Hardship Leave, Parenthood leave, Bereavement Leave, etc.) by providing thoughtful and informed responses to tickets in ServiceNow and reviewing/approving leaves in Workday timely.
  • Support employees in the USA and Canada with short-term and long-term disability enquires.
  • Complete all requested employer statements.
  • Process STD claims by completing STD calculations for Canadian STD claims.
  • Support Leave and Accommodation Specialists with all Parenthood top up requests in the US and Canada
  • Partner with Leaves and Accommodations Specialists to ensure timely responses, in accordance with established Service Level Agreements (SLAs) 
  • Partner with third party administrators (TPAs) and People & Culture Business Partners/Advisors to review leave requests.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation on leave and accommodation processes across North America
  • Serve as a liaison and resource to colleagues regarding leaves and accommodations concerns and processes.
  • Support with tasks across the Health & Wealth team as required.

Please note, there are 2 roles open:

  • 1st role:  Benefit Coordinator (100% focused on leaves and accommodations)
  • 2nd role:  Benefit Coordinator (15hrs/wk on billing, 25hrs/wk on leaves and accommodations)
  • The 2nd role requires strong attention to detail and proficiency with excel

 

Who- the Candidate: 

  • HR experience/education
  • Proficiency with ServiceNow is preferred
  • Strong communication & attention to detail
  • Discernment and decision-making
  • Using discretion and maintaining employee privacy around sensitive information
  • An interest in leaves and accommodations legislation and best practices

 

How much:

What- the Role:

Our client is seeking a new Senior Human Resources Business Partner, Labour Relations for their growing team. The Sr HRBP will be joining an overall HR function of over 50 people, and specifically a team of 11 (HRBPs and HR Generalists) that reports into the Director, Human Resources. The Sr HRBP and an HRBP are responsible for directly supporting approximately 1500 unionized employees (almost entirely based in BC) who are part of 6 unions represented by 1 collective agreement. The Sr HRBP is not directly involved in grievances or collective bargaining- that is done by a Labour Relations Specialist. The Sr HRBP is responsible for performance management, workforce planning, leadership coaching, succession planning, labour relations and investigations, rolling out new HR programs and policies, etc. This is a very well-rounded generalist role, and the Sr HRBP will get to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders and peers. The company has an HR Centre of Excellence model, including Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Payroll, and Learning & Development. SWIM will provide interested and qualified candidates with a thorough job description.

Who- the Candidate:

We are seeking candidates with at least 8 years and preferably 10+ years progressive experience in Human Resources, with at least a few years specializing in Labour Relations. Qualified candidates will have experience supporting large and diverse employee populations (mix of unionized employees and non-unionized management) and will be skilled at leadership coaching. We are looking for folks who have excellent knowledge of BC and Canadian employment law. An eye for process improvements and a solutions-oriented mindset are very important in this role. A successful Sr HRBP, LR at this company will be someone who embraces change and who loves contributing positively to a dynamic corporate culture.  
 

Where:

Headquartered in Greater Vancouver (not in downtown Vancouver). Hybrid schedule- please discuss further with SWIM.  Free on-site employee parking.
 

How Much:

Base salary will be commensurate with years of labour relations and human resources work experience as well as relevant HR qualifications and education.  The range on the base salary is $105,000 to $125,000, with the top-end reserved for candidates who meet all sought-after qualifications and who have at least 10 years of relevant work experience. Additionally, the Sr HRBP, LR will be eligible for a performance-based bonus, a pension matching plan, excellent health, dental & vision benefits, and other great perks such as parental leave top-up, a childcare benefit, a personal spending allowance, and a mental health allowance.  Please discuss your total compensation expectations further with SWIM.

What- The Role:

  • Support the delivery of the product roadmap and quarterly plans to provide an elevated and truly global employee experience that is powered by Digital
  • Contribute to agile change methodology and delivery governance within P&C Digital
  • Support the Enabling Hiring Product with holistic change management strategies
  • Understand the design of the end-to-end current and future state journeys for stakeholder persona groups impacted by transition
  • Create and iterate on cross-functional agile change plans to support Talent Acquisition product management and assess and propose learning strategies to support the global Talent Acquisition team.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with global stakeholders to manage expectations and address concerns during transitions.
  • Conduct change impact assessments and proactively address resistance to change.
  • Identify change-related risks and opportunities, recommending mitigation steps to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Develop and execute integrated change engagement, communication, and training plans.
  • Craft strategic change communications as needed.
  • Design and conduct assessments to evaluate readiness, adoption, and overall business outcomes.

Who- the Candidate: 

 

  • 3-5 years of change management experience, ideally in an agile environment
  • 3-5 years creating and delivering against engagement, communications, and training plans
  • Fluency and experience delivering change in a Talent Acquisition context an advantage
  • Fluency with ADKAR or PROSCI methodologies and at least one major framework for how to scale change management for an agile environment
  • Fluency in core agile values, mindset, methods, roles including Scrum, Kanban
  • Flexibility and organizational skills to manage change across multiple epics, and independently prioritize and escalate issues when necessary
  • Skilled in problem-solving and relationship management.
  • Proven ability to meet tight deadlines with a sense of urgency.
  • Expert communicator, verbal, written, negotiation and presentation
  • Flexible, seamlessly transitioning between strategic and tactical perspectives.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and relationship management experience
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and operating under tight time constraints with a strong sense of urgency

On the Global Support Enablement team, you are a versatile operator and facilitator that supports the Educator Help Centre (EHC) to perform at their best. Your day-to-day is spent coordinating and facilitating the
EHC training program, completing Quality Assurance Reviews for our client’s support team, completing regular review and follow up of internal employee satisfaction data and supporting as a subject matter expert on operational improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:
Facilitate training delivery for client’s Educator Help Centre (EHC) global employees; this includes facilitation, creating access requests, hosting learner check-ins, scheduling of training and coordinating shadow shifts

  • Coordinate and support the EHC’s quality assurance program; this includes reviewing EHC employee interactions to assess quality and sending review results to employees.
  • Analyze the EHC’s CSAT (Customer Satisfaction) survey data and action the feedback received; this includes following up with end-users and providing feedback to EHC employees.
  • Support with documentation and improvement of our Standard Operating Procedures
  • Support with ServiceNow testing requirements to support continual improvements for the EHC
  • Participate in the maintenance of our EHC training program learning assets
  • Participate as a project resource when required
  • Flexible working hours Monday – Friday to support global training delivery needs when required

 

Who- the Candidate: 

  • Degree or diploma in Business or a related field
  • 1+ years of work experience delivering live training to contact-centre employees
  • 1+ year work experience in technology support would be considered an asset
  • Experience with call and ticket logging applications to manage workload, ServiceNow experience is highly preferred
  • Strong experience with MS Office Applications including Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: a clear, honest, and kind communicator with the ability to build relationships and trust, and work in a team environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Passionate about the technology support experience for employees or guests
  • Highly motivated, creative, detail oriented.

How much:
Competitive hourly wage in the range of $31-33/hr + 4% vacation pay

Who - the Candidate:

  • 5-7 years of project management experience with preference working in Digital HR for high growth, Fortune 1000 global companies in Retail
  • 4-year degree in HR, Business, Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent work experience
  • Designations or certificates in project management (PMP), agile delivery methodologies (e.g. Scrum), and/or HR/HRIS
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex, technology-enabled, transformational change initiatives with employee experience outcomes
  • Deep understanding and application of waterfall and agile practices
  • Experience working with various digital human resources system architectures (preference for those with specifically Workday, Avature, and Dayforce WFM)
  • Experience with organizational change management initiatives (change strategy, stakeholder analysis, change impact assessments, change planning, operating models etc.
  • Advanced ability to work collaboratively with and enroll multiple stakeholders within and outside of People & Culture
  • Ability to successfully manage teams with competing priorities within deadlines in a complex and rapidly evolving organization
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to align stakeholders from project team-level to VPs
  • Proven facilitation and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to cater to all audiences
