Do you have 5-7 years project management experience working in Digital HR for high growth companies with experience working with various digital HR systems (Workday, Avature, Dayforce)? This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate closely with stakeholders across P&C, Technology teams, and the business to spearhead project plans that solve business challenges and elevate employee experiences.

Remote working conditions and open to candidates across Canada. This is a 9-month contract.

What – the Role:

Projects led by a Sr. Project Manager are very strategic and involve a high degree of complexity, cross functional stakeholders’ engagement, and balancing many competing priorities and interests. To maximize success, they are accountable for project planning, scoping, scheduling, resourcing and team building, budget management, development of project artifacts and communications, risk management and escalations, and achieving project objectives/measures of success.
 

  • Develop project artifacts such as project charter, plan, and schedule.
  • Manage project team communications, tailoring them to the audience and using appropriate channels and formats.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet professional standards and are hosted on appropriate platforms.
  • Report project status, risks, and milestones to various stakeholders.
  • Remove blockers for the project team and escalate risks and issues as needed.
  • Educate project team, stakeholders, and sponsors for successful project delivery.
  • Manage project delivery within scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Utilize P&C Digital Product Road Maps to optimize delivery and enhance employee experience.
  • Manage resources and external vendors as required.
  • Mitigate risks, resolve issues, and manage resources to meet program goals.
  • Identify potential risks and engage impacted stakeholders.
  • Set clear expectations and hold people accountable.
  • Align project team, sponsors, and stakeholders with varying skills and technical expertise.

 

Who – the Candidate:

  • 5-7 years of project management experience with preference working in Digital HR for high growth, Fortune 1000 global companies in Retail
  • 4-year degree in HR, Business, Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent work experience
  • Designations or certificates in project management (PMP), agile delivery methodologies (e.g. Scrum), and/or HR/HRIS
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex, technology-enabled, transformational change initiatives with employee experience outcomes
  • Deep understanding and application of waterfall and agile practices
  • Experience working with various digital human resources system architectures (preference for those with specifically Workday, Avature, and Dayforce WFM)
  • Experience with organizational change management initiatives (change strategy, stakeholder analysis, change impact assessments, change planning, operating models etc.
  • Advanced ability to work collaboratively with and enroll multiple stakeholders within and outside of People & Culture
  • Ability to successfully manage teams with competing priorities within deadlines in a complex and rapidly evolving organization
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to align stakeholders from project team-level to VPs
  • Proven facilitation and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to cater to all audiences

Remote, head office is in Vancouver
 

How Much:

Competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience in the range of $75-84/hr + 4% vacation pay. If you are incorporated, please discuss with Swim.
