Multi-national company with over 800 employees and over 10 people on the HR team. Based in Montreal.

The HRBP will be using both English and Frenchon a daily basis (spoken and written, professional and conversational) and will be communicating with Quebecois employees who speak very little English and anglophone employees originally from elsewhere in Canada and from all over the world who speak little to no French.
The HRBP will report into the Vice-President of HR and will collaborate very closely with HR colleagues in Canada and the US, including the HR Managers, HR Advisors, a Recruiter, an HR Coordinator, an HR Assistant, and various HR Specialists.
This role involves a blend of employee relations(especially for Quebec-based employees, but also supporting Atlantic Canada, Eastern Canada, and other regions as needed), performance management, global mobility, HR projects, HR policy & program development, recruitment support (not actually conducting sourcing, but supporting hiring managers and the Recruiter with assessing candidates for the Montreal office for values and corporate culture alignment), etc. This new HRBP will be working in the Montreal office where there are currently 25 to 30 employees. Understanding of employment law in other Canadian provinces is definitely an asset but not required.
Relevant post-secondaryeducation in human resources.
Fluency in both French and English is mandatory, as the HRBP will be communicating every single day in both languages (written & spoken) and will occasionally translate business communication to help out colleagues.
Must have experience with employee relations, performance management, leadership coaching, and leading the full employee life cycle (hiring through to exit/termination).
Knowledge of global mobility and international relocation (work permits, work visas, permanent residency applications, LMIAs, etc.) is highly preferred as this company moves a lot of existing employees and new employees around the world.
Ideally candidates will have experience in the professional services sector, for example a law firm, accounting firm, an IT services firm, an engineering consulting firm, an architecture firm, a management consulting firm, etc.
Experience in a multi-national company is very beneficial.
It is preferred that candidates have worked in similar sized private sector companies of around 600 to 1200 employees, but not necessary for someone who is adaptable who is happy to work with a company that is larger or smaller than they are accustomed to.
How Much:
Competitive base salary, commensurate with relevant experience, education, and skills- likely in the range of $100,000 to $120,000, with a sweet spot of $110,000.
