HR Lead
The HR Lead – Payroll, Talent & Compensation oversees core HR operations to ensure accurate payroll, effective recruitment processes, and equitable compensation practices. The role supports organizational stability and growth by maintaining compliant systems, delivering reliable HR data, and executing people initiatives in partnership with the Director of People & Culture.

What- The Role:

The HR Lead is responsible for overseeing core HR functions including payroll, recruitment, and compensation analysis. This role ensures accurate and compliant payroll, oversees full-cycle recruitment, and provides data and analysis to inform compensation decisions. The HR Lead is also responsible for carrying out Director’s initiatives and projects.

Payroll Oversight

  • Oversee semi-monthly payroll, including new hires, terminations, salary changes, and benefits.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with BC Employment Standards and CRA requirements.
  • Partner with Finance on reconciliations and month-end reporting.
  • Serve as primary contact for payroll inquiries and troubleshoot system issues.
  • Liaison to the team at ADP.

Recruitment & Talent Management

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment: intake, job postings, resume screening, interviews, and shortlisting.
  • Advise managers on hiring decisions and track recruitment metrics.
  • Lead onboarding for new employees and guide Department leads on best practices.

Compensation & Pay Equity

  • Maintain salary ranges, job classifications, and pay bands.
  • Conduct pay equity and compensation analysis.
  • Support merit reviews, bonus programs, and compensation reporting.
  • Provide recommendations to the Director on compensation and pay equity matters.

HR Reporting & Operations

  • Prepare HR and payroll reports (headcount, turnover, payroll summaries).
  • Maintain HRIS and payroll data; support day-to-day HR tasks.
  • Bring employee relations issues to the Director and assist in resolution.
  • Develop and maintain HR operational processes and documentation.

 

Who- the Candidate: 

  • 6–10 years of HR experience, with exposure to payroll, recruitment, and compensation.
  • Knowledge of BC employment legislation and HR best practices.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work with leaders and employees across the organization.

 

How much:

$110,000-$130,000 + RRSP, extended health.
 

Where:

North Vancouver, BC, 5 days’ onsite, once established in the role potential for 1 remote day.
