We’re on the hunt for a Manager of Software Engineering for an exciting Burnaby-based SaaS company with a rapidly growing global customer base.
    • Rapidly growing SaaS product company
    • Newly created growth role
    • Strong financial backing and runway

    What & Why:

This is a rare opportunity to join an established (yet young) SaaS product company with a rapidly growing global customer base as Manager of Software Engineering. In this role you will be acting in a true leadership capacity for the organisation with the primary purpose to grow and lead a backend product team (Ruby on Rails) through a period of significant growth and SDLC maturity from a late-stage Startup to a small enterprise. You will be an expert at building and scaling product teams to the next level and implementing processes and environments for optimised performance. While this role will be primarily a functional role, you will be comfortable in the ‘player/coach’ position and be happy to leverage your ace-level Ruby on Rails dev skills to ‘muck in’ at the code level as required. You will also have oversight of the technical stack and will be operating in an architecture capacity as you will essentially be owning the entire backend.

    • You’ve done this before: you have led SaaS product development teams at respected software companies through significant growth and scaling more than once in your career.
    • You’re a SaaS technology geek and are not afraid to ‘muck in’ and get involved ‘hands on’ as required.
    • You bring expert-level experience with Ruby on Rails (bonus points for those who have strengths in other development languages).
    • You have solid exposure to public cloud platforms such as AWS.
    • You’re a natural born leader and you have extensive experience leading software product teams and individuals to achieve greatness.
    • You’re an expert at growing teams and implementing innovative software development processes.
    • You’re a master at managing modern software life cycles and software release environments.
