What- the Opportunity:Contract HRIS data entry professional until December 31st 2020.This is a great opportunity for an entry level candidate with some exposure to SAP SuccessFactors to join a global organization!This company has recently moved a large portion of their operations to the US and are in the process of centralizing their HR function. This is a unique opportunity to help be a part of creating this HR Services Model in the US for their Canadian operations!Responsibilities include:
- Oversight and ownership of personnel administration;
- Responsible for accurate and timely transaction within HRIS of employee lifecycle changes within payroll deadlines (hires, changes to employees, leaves, terminations, etc.)
- Develop process documentation for personnel administration creating procedures, templates, best practices, standards, guidelines, and policies to create effective and consistent practices
- Design and generate regional and global reports and analytics.
- Support HRIS projects and assist the broader needs of the department as required
- Utilize HR Technology to assist business owners through system troubleshooting, report creation and analysis, and undertake ad-hoc requests to address business needs
- Assist in ad-hoc and value-added analysis to support business objectives and priorities
Who- the Candidate:We are looking for a bright candidate with strong attention to detail and some exposure to SAP SuccessFactors.Other key criteria includes:
- Diploma or degree in human resources or a related discipline
- 1-3 years’ experience
- Experience with SuccessFactors or SAP considered an asset.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and demonstrated proficiency in the remaining Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to think analytically with a focus on problem solving and continuous improvement.
- Superior customer service skills.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to work under time pressure and balance multiple priorities.
- Ability to work effectively, multi-task and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Strong team player.
- French and/or Spanish language skills would be beneficial
Where:Our client will interview, hire, and train remotely during Covid-19 physical distancing. This role can be based anywhere working from home. Once it’s safe to do so, this role can based in the heart of downtown Vancouver- very transit accessible. Beautiful corporate office! This person could also just continue working from home!

What- the Role:We are seeking a new HR Manager who will report into the great HR Director who is based in Vancouver. The HR Manager will be responsible for employee relations and labour relations (there are both unionized and non-unionized sites), as well as organisational development, training & development, HR analysis, HR program delivery and process roll-out, etc. There are top notch shared services such as L&D, talent acquisition, compensation, payroll, internal communications, etc., at the Vancouver head office, and the HR Manager can partner with individuals in these specialisation areas.This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to continue developing their HR career with a fast-paced, high-change, and successful Canadian organization that has a long history but is also constantly innovating and growing. Where:Based in the BC Interior in one of a couple possible locations in the SW Kootenay region near Castlegar, Trail, Grand Forks, etc. The HR Manager will travel to the other locations in the Interior to build relationships with managers and employees- by plane or car, depending on location and timelines. Trips to the Coast / Lower Mainland will probably be quarterly.
Who- the Candidate:
- We are seeking a top-notch HR professional with at least 8 years (preferably 10+ years) relevant and progressive experience in HR.
- Experience managing multiple offices/sites is very highly preferred.
- Experience with labour relations is preferred but not necessarily required for someone able and willing to learn LR.
- Excellent relationship building skills are crucial in this role.
- Ability to be both hands-on as well as strategic/big picture.
- Willingness to travel to other offices in the Interior for presentations, HR program roll-outs, investigations, etc. and to Vancouver for quarterly HR meetings.

The Manager of HR will report directly into the company’s President and will mentor, coach, and oversee the work of 2 HR Assistants (who take care of HR administration, recruitment, payroll processing, etc.). Areas of responsibility include employee relations, leading HR programs and policies, health & safety, employee development, training, performance coaching, compensation & benefits, overseeing payroll (and acting as back-up for payroll processing when necessary), workforce planning, and managing talent acquisition.
Who- the Candidate:We are looking for a well-rounded HR professional who has experience in most of the HR areas mentioned in the responsibilities- namely employee relations, health & safety, overseeing payroll, training, and employee development. Experience with an entrepreneurial mid-size company is preferred, as is experience supporting employees in multiple locations. We are ideally seeking candidates who have already been the top HR leader for an organization, but we are also open to individuals in HR middle management who are ready for a step up.
