Who- the Company: 

Our client is a not-for-profit values-based organization that provides essential programs and services to the communities they support. The organization is currently approximately 350 employees plus a Board of Directors, with a growing HR department.
 

What- the Role:

HR Advisor, leadership development, training development, and organizational development.  The new Advisor will design and deliver learning strategies to build a strong and sustainable workforce, to strengthen leadership, and to enhance organizational effectiveness. The Advisor will lead training, support change management, and manage digital learning platforms and an LMS. They will also drive employee engagement initiatives, including surveys and best employer programs. This is a newly created role created to support organizational growth. The Advisor will report directly to the Director of People & Culture and will collaborate with an overall People & Culture / Human Resources team of 14+ people. Who- the Candidate:

We are looking for an individual with at least 4 years of progressive human resources work experience, with a specialization in leadership development/management coaching, learning & development, training, succession planning, organizational development, etc. Ideally candidates will have relevant education and qualifications such as CPHR, Provincial Instructor Diploma Program (PIDP), PROSCI (Change Management), Certified Training & Development Professional (CTDP), coaching certifications (ICF, CEC), etc.
Good knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design models such as Kirkpatrick’s Levels of Evaluation, ADDIE, SAM, etc is required.
Experience working in a relevant sector is highly preferred- i.e. Government, NPO, and/or public sector- preferably supporting an employee population of at least 300 people.
Hands-on experience using an HRIS, an LMS, and digital learning tools/instructional design tools is important; we are looking for folks who are confident using technology.
Qualified candidates will have a friendly, clear, and professional communication style, and will have a caring and compassionate approach.
 

How Much:

Base salary is commensurate with skills, experience, and education related to HR and compensation, likely in the range of $76,000 to $86,000. Please note that although the base salary is not super high, the overall compensation package is very generous-  the new Advisor will be on a robust Pension Plan, will receive a competitive amount of paid time off (vacation days, personal days, sick days, extra time off in late December), and will also get PD support, excellent health & dental benefits (100% employer paid), and a small transit subsidy. Additionally, this organization works on a 37.5 hour work week and this role is eligible for overtime pay. Someone who is hardworking, efficient and productive should be able to achieve very good work/life balance in this position.
 

Where:

HYBRID. The company is headquartered in Surrey, very close to a Skytrain station. There is parking nearby. Initially the Advisor will work from the office 3-4 days a week as they are getting training and onboarding. Longer term, the person in this role can start to Work From Home 2-3 days a week on average (some weeks it may be as many as 4 WFH days a week, some it may only be 1 or 2 WFH days a week… it depends on what is going on at the office, team meetings, projects, etc.)
