What - the Role:

Reporting directly to the Director of Marketing and Director of Communications, the Marketing & Communications Coordinator is responsible for supporting both the Communications and Marketing Department. 

Main responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement schedules for various e-newsletters for internal employees, external stakeholders, and Express program customers. This includes curating topics, writing, editing, and publishing newsletters.
  • Create, write, edit, and proofread engaging content for various platforms including social media, websites, internal and external newsletters, and blogs.
  • Compile and distribute media releases and kits, ensuring they are tailored to the target audience. Support organizing photo opportunities related to media releases to enhance media coverage and engagement.
  • Strategically coordinate and execute annual marketing plans, specific initiatives, and programs. Take ownership of projects from conception to completion, ensuring alignment with overall marketing goals and delivering impactful results with a high level of autonomy
  • Manage internal content updates and optimize website content for SEO to improve search rankings and drive traffic.
  • Act as the primary liaison between advertising agencies, print suppliers, freelance talent, and various marketing services.
  • Manage the procurement of promotional and depot merchandise, track inventory, and oversee the Online Supply Store. Optimize supply outlets and reporting processes to ensure they meet organizational needs. Prepare and coordinate shipments of promotional merchandise for marketing initiatives and internal use.
  • Track budgets and assist in financial forecasting for marketing and communications projects.
  • Plan meetings and other events by identifying, assembling, and coordinating requirements, establishing contacts, developing schedules and assignments, and coordinating mailing lists.
  • Approve the use of logos and company-branded materials, ensuring brand consistency across all platforms and communications. Follow existing brand guidelines and update them as needed to maintain a cohesive and professional brand image.
  • Provide administrative and coordination support for the Marketing and Communications department, including taking meeting minutes, scheduling meetings, and following up on action items.

 

Who - the Candidate:

We are seeking individuals with a minimum of 2+years of relevant experience. You must be proactive, detailed-oriented and organized. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills are very important for this role, including copywriting and proofreading (writing sample required).

  • Relevant post-secondary education, ideally in Communications or Marketing from a recognized post-secondary institution
  • Multi-tasking and Time Management: Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), and social media management tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Hootsuite).
  • Web Content Management: Experience with web content management, editing, and administration (WordPress or similar).
  • SEO and SEM: Experience utilizing Google Search Console and Google Ad Manager for monitoring website performance and optimizing search rankings.
  • Marketing Knowledge: Solid understanding of marketing principles and the ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented and Proactive: A proactive and team-oriented work approach with a keen attention to detail.
  • Budget Management: Experience in budget tracking and financial forecasting for marketing and communications projects.

 

Where:

Hybrid work model until otherwise specified. Office is located in Burnaby, about 15 minutes’ walk from the Skytrain station.
 

How Much:

Competitive base salary commensurate with experience and skills – likely in the range of $60,000 to $65,000. This company provides and excellent total compensation package including 3 weeks of paid time of, RRSP match, great health benefits, public transit reimbursement and fitness allowance.

What- the Role:

This is an exciting new role for this fashion company as they are continuing to expand both their brands and stores. This role will be the right hand to the Marketing Manager who has built some strong processes for the marketing department. This role will be supporting some exciting times for the company involving 2 new brand launches and 2 new store launches.
This role is varied in supporting graphic design, copywriting as well as supporting brand awareness through social media and promotions and supporting the launch of their 2 new brands and various events and strategies as they open new stores.

What you’ll do:
As the Retail Marketing Coordinator, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Conceptualize and design high quality graphics for print and digital use for multiple brands.
  • Create compelling and effective copy for marketing materials such as e-newsletters, social media, blog posts and more.
  • Assist with the development and execution of the seasonal and annual marketing plan for all company brands.
  • Work closely with brands to ensure the maintenance of brand standards.
  • Support and execute on innovative strategies to reach new targeted audiences and grow our customer base.
  • Help execute in store events, collaborations and promotions and go on-site at company retail locations to support these activations.
  • Deploy advertising campaigns via traditional (newspaper/magazine/billboards) and digital media (email/social media).
  • Handle administrative duties within the department as required.
  • Coordinate and build relations with 3rd parties including vendors, business partners, media, influencers, clients and malls.
  • Prepare data analytics to measure the performance of retail promotions and digital marketing campaigns.

 

Who- the Candidate:  

We are looking for a “go-getter” with a “passion for fashion!” Along with this we are looking for someone that has a joy for organization and can support both sides of keeping on track but also supporting the creativity side of things.

Candidates must have demonstrated education in Marketing or a relevant degree but also ideally an interest or some experience in the retail and/or fashion industry. Along with this, ideal candidates with have experience with Graphic Design, and Copyright experience ideally in Adobe or similar systems. Other experience in coordinating events, managing seasonal releases, promotions and experience with social media is considered an asset. Ideal is someone that would be excited by this growth, the exposure you would have in supporting the expansion of their brands, stores while also have the professionalism and attitude that would enjoy attending events and potentially interacting with clientele.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Strong graphic design skill with a key eye for design.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office as well as strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite, Analytics packages (eg: Google Analytics), WordPress, Mailchimp, Meta Suite, and Canva.
  • Expert user of social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, WeChat, Weibo, Little Red Book and their advertising methods.
  • Highly organized, able to juggle multiple competing deadlines and priorities.
  • Good track record of results and action orientation – you have a great sense of initiative and accountability for what you commit to.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong cross functionally, you are a diplomat and can eloquently, passionately, and succinctly state your case and make a compelling argument.

This is an amazing opportunity to join the ecommerce team of one of Vancouver’s most reputable companies! This is a 6-month contract. Hybrid working model of 3 days’ onsite and 2 remote.

 

Who - the Company:

What- the Role:

The B2B Catalogue Operations Coordinator is responsible for supporting with the management of our client’s strategic sales B2B wholesale sites. They will work closely with our client’s B2B team to execute the needs of the business and upkeep processes that are agile, efficient, and accurate for their B2B sites.

We are looking for an e-commerce savvy, nimble, innovative person who is great at operations, excels with cross-functional work, and endlessly motivated to make things easier for their Operations team, Account Managers, Strategic Sales Partners, and cross-functional teams.
 

  • Own operational tasks for North America and EMEA product drops, including cross-functional activities and issue support
  • Responsible for the day-to-day appearance and functionality of our B2B websites
  • Execute weekly, monthly, and quarterly operational tasks associated with merchandising products and assets on the B2B websites – including, but not limited to, product and category creation and maintenance, drop list and inventory review, quarterly changeover activities etc.
  • Support the ecommerce operations leadership in prioritization and implementation of new and enhanced website and catalogue functionality
  • Lead B2B support – first point of contact in issue resolution and escalate as needed
  • Support EMEA team with their resolution and daily operations
  • Support in training – new team members, backend and storefront functionality and processes
  • Upkeep processes and templates, creating new documentation as needed
  • Support with the coordination of an amazing internal cross functional team, including Operations, B2B Tech, Account Managers, Merchandising, Planning, Finance & DC

 

Who – the Candidate:

  • 1-2 years in e-commerce operations, B2B
  • Degree/diploma in related field
  • 2+ years working within apparel business
  • Ability to function in dynamic and fast paced retail operations model
  • Intermediate Office & Excel skills (formulas, lookups) & light reporting abilities
  • Accountable self-starter, able to work independently, strong ability to adhere to deadlines under pressure and manage multiple operational tasks
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and ability to build relationships in person or via technology.

What- the Role:

This VP Sales and Operations role, leads Sales and Operations for the organization along with the Regional Sales Team and the Operations team in the development of key initiatives and daily operations, engaging all levels of the organization to ensure program adoption. This role is responsible for providing tools, resources, and programs required to maximize effectiveness and efficiency within the business and reach its goals.
This role is varied in managing a team of 12 skilled Directors while supporting them to motivate their teams and work towards increasing sales at the store level. This role will also set the sales strategy and KPIs for the organization and lead a 2-week roadshow that is a great event to pitch your vision and get your team onboard in a collaborative and fun way! This role will also lead a weeklong conference event and work with various stores and leaders to increase sales as well as work with the business to better market products.

Key responsibilities can be broken down as follows:
Sales
• Experience leading national retail for double digit annual growth and managing large teams  
• Performance analysis capabilities and senior level storytelling, capability to translate strategy into action
• Designs, implements, and manages sales forecasting, planning and budgeting processes, establishing high levels of quality, accuracy, integration and process consistency in planning, forecasting and budgeting approaches used by the sales organization
• Provides leadership to the sales organization and counsel to the Managing Director in implementing objectives that appropriately reflect business goals
• Invests in growing leaders up through the organization by increasing transparency & understanding of executive core competencies – strategic planning, financial management, operational oversight & leadership
Partners with Marketing on local and overall marketing efforts and strategy, including Product launch to ensure effectiveness and efficiency of sales
• Works closely with senior leadership to define performance measurements and performance management programs, aligning reporting, training and incentive programs with these performance priorities

People Management:
• Providing inspirational leadership to the sales leadership team and to broader sales teams at the store level; this role will inspire a national sales team and deliver high engagement. This includes development of development plans, conducting performance management and owning recognition of team members. 

Operations
• Understanding the technology landscape and development process
• Successful execution at scale in a decentralized operating environment
• Innovation in client experience delivery
• General management and oversight of the Operations departments, including planning, directing and coordinating business operations
• Determining needs, reducing costs and analyzing areas requiring improvement
• Support Operations as they work closely with the Senior Manager of Business Integration on all expansion efforts as it pertains to openings and Acquisitions

Who- the Candidate:

We’re seeking a dynamic, professional, and confident sales leader with that “wow factor!”
We are looking for an individual with at least 10 years progressive sales leadership experience at the national level with a demonstrated history of supporting growth.
Qualified candidates will have worked with past/current employers during significant periods of change and growth- i.e. exponential increase in revenues such as scaling up annual recurring revenue from $50 million to $100 million whether part of a subset of a larger company or one that is mid-sized and shown growth doubling in size. Working with a company during significant acquisitions and selling for a company doing a new product roll-outs or expanding into new jurisdictions as well as finding ways to increase market share is all beneficial.
Other key characteristics include:

  • MBA preferred, must have bachelor’s degree ideally focused on business, marketing or operations.
  • 10+ years experience in a national sales leadership role.
  • Ideal would be experience with a minimum of 6, ideally 10 direct reports and preferably a larger indirect team.
  • Excellent influential abilities with strategic and analytics aptitude.
  • Strong proven customer service orientation and demonstrated history of growth.
  • Familiarity with various business software (e.g. ERP, CRM)
  • Ability to interact within a team environment across all levels of the organization as well as lead a team across Canada. Ideal will also be someone that has operated within a decentralized model.
  • Strong detail orientation
  • Ability to multi-task and work under the constraints of deadlines
  • Retail healthcare industry experience preferred
  • Patient Management System experience preferred

How Much:

Competitive base salary commensurate with level of experience in Sales leadership. Ideal range will be between $160-180,000 plus bonus, vacation, bonus and options. Please discuss further with SWIM.

This role will be based in Victoria BC- hybrid in nature.
