This is a permanent role, and hybrid working model of three days’ onsite.

What- the Role:  

The Controller oversees our client’s financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial management. This role leads the accounting team, collaborates across departments, and supports financial decision-making.
Team Leadership:

  • Manage and mentor a team of 6-7 accounting professionals (AP, AR, and GL).
  • Oversee daily accounting activities and drive process improvements.
  • Foster a high-performing team aligned with organizational goals.

Financial Reporting & Analysis:

  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Prepare financial updates for monthly business reviews.
  • Collaborate with senior management to drive financial planning, forecasting, and strategic growth initiatives.

Cash Flow & Compliance:

  • Monitor and manage cash flow, providing weekly updates to shareholders.
  • Oversee tax filings, bank transactions, and financial compliance.
  • Manage audits, budgets, and financial performance analysis.

Projects & Systems:

  • Support system implementations and upgrades for improved efficiency.
  • Handle financial requests from the Head of Finance and CFO.

Who- the Candidate:

  • CPA designation with 5+ years of financial management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting standards, and compliance.
  • Experience in a consumer-facing industry.
  • Proven leadership and collaboration skills.
  • Effective communication skills (written & verbal).
  • Expertise in tax, audit, budgeting, and financial analysis.
  • Proficient computer and analytical skills - Excel, Great Plains, NetSuite, and Concur.
  • ERP implementation experience is an asset.

How Much:

$115,000 - $140,000 commensurate with candidate’s experience, extended, medical, dental, life, and disability insurance, 3 weeks’ vacation, flight perks, revenue sharing, discretionary bonus, RRSP matching program.

Where:

Richmond, BC. Hybrid work model of in-office/remote, 3 days onsite.
