What- the Role:

Our client seeking a new Accounts Receivable Specialist. Reporting into a Supervisor and working alongside colleagues in Accounts Payable. This is a project-based and business-to-business AR role, involving invoicing based on %% of project delivered. Using Excel and a sophisticated ERP system.
The AR Specialist will interact a great deal with internal colleagues who work in areas such as sales, customer success, project management, and field maintenance. The AR specialist will prepare bills, invoices, and bank deposits, will reconcile the AR ledger, will resolve billing issues, will collaborate with internal departments to manage collections, etc. Additionally, the AR Specialist will get to do some basic financial analysis type work, such as job costing, pricing, forecasting, and preparing reports and graphs illustrating AR statuses.  SWIM will provide interested candidates with a thorough job description.
 

Who- the Candidate:

We are looking for an individual with at least 3 years of full-cycle accounts receivable work experience, including at least 1 year in project-based AR (ie. working for a company in a project-heavy sector like construction, engineering, infrastructure, large scale technology hardware, architecture, etc.).
Post-secondary education in accounting is highly preferred, but not required if someone has very relevant work experience. Long-term pursuit of CPA designation is an asset (and the company will financially support CPA courses) but NOT at all required.
Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, V look-ups, etc.) is required. Hands-on experience using a large ERP (Oracle, SAP, Dynamics, JD Edwards, etc.) is very beneficial. Any training related to continuous improvement (ISO, Six Sigma, Lean, Kaizen, etc.) will be viewed very favourably.

Candidates will have a friendly, clear, and professional communication style (written and verbal).
 

How Much:

Competitive base salary commensurate with level of skills, experience, and education- the range on base salary is $55,000 to $68,000 (top end reserved for candidates with 5+ years of relevant AR experience). The company will provide their new AR Specialist with a solid overall compensation package, including an RRSP match, paid vacation and sick days, financial support for CPA, and solid health, dental, & vision benefits.   
 

Where:

Langley, BC. Great commute for someone in Langley, Langley Township, Murrayville, Aldergrove, Aberdeen, Bradner, or perhaps Abbotsford. Full-time in office for probationary period (3 months). After that, the AR Specialist can choose to work from home 1 day a week.
