    Global Trade Lead

    Who - the Candidate:

    The global lead is an integral part of the global trade team and interacts at all levels of the organisation. They will be the subject matter expert on areas related to classification, duty rates and trade programs. This role will be a key strategic partner for the global trade management platform and will manage relationships with all upstream partners.
    • Act as subject matter expert for global classification including classifying product, uploading data to key systems, and sharing data with internal partners/vendors
    • Identify efficiencies in current global classification process and undertake activities to enhance and document procedures
    • Partner directly with departments such as Sourcing, Product Development and Raw Materials to educate on classification and potential duty-savings opportunities; create a training program to share relevant trade data on a regular basis
    • Serve as subject matter expert for global trade management platform, Integration Point. Includes inputting data into the system, auditing, managing information flow, ensuring system functionality and data integrity; partner with IT project manager on system upgrades
    • Develop program with internal partners for consistent, standardized tariff engineering process
    • Trade partner on duty rates and the impact on landed cost and margin analysis with Finance and Accounting stakeholders; provide guidance for and manage reporting of key duty metrics
    • Collaborate with Trade manager and global product vendors to develop robust compliance process around trade program qualification; perform audits of existing vendors
    Requirements 
    • Minimum 5-8 years of international trade-related experience, ideally in apparel/textiles within retail organization or brokerage/consulting firm
    • Expert level knowledge of textile classification, tariff engineering and deep understanding of free trade agreements and other duty reduction opportunities
    • Strong analytical and investigative skills with high degree of curiosity; Proven work ethic with strong desire to excel and succeed
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; knowledge of Integration Point and GT Nexus a plus

    What – The Job 

    The custom manufacturing planner is a key member of the production planning team in this fast-paced environment. 

    • Creates long range production schedules for assigned brands utilizing forecasted requirements in MPS & JDE taking into account inventory and customer service goals/targets. 
    • Works with Plant sites to ensure supply of base finished goods required to produce Special packs, pallets, and PDQ's. 
    • Firms up demand in an MRP environment to ensure delivery of both finished goods and components match the expected ship date of the embellished product in Custom Manufacturing. 
    • Reviews daily sales activity for assigned brands in all Logistics Centers (LCs) and adjusts short term production schedules to minimize risk of service issues. 
    • Places releases with supplies for components and raw materials against contracts set up by Corporate Purchasing.  
    • Follows the Logistic Center Quality Systems Procedures (QSPs), related SOPs, control plans and work instructions to maintain compliance with ISO requirements. 
    • Manages FG and raw/packaging inventory levels to meet corporate, Logistic Center and individual goals.  Coordinates with LCs suppliers, and appropriate plant personnel to meet month end targets.  Recommends changes to procedures and work plans to improve overall management of inventory with objective of reducing inventory without increasing the risk of customer service issues. 
    • Manages obsolescence for assigned brands to minimize the financial exposure to the business caused by a change to an existing product or discontinued product. 
    • Supplies DRP as necessary to support the outbound shipping of finished goods by the Logistics dept. Communicates "hot" load information to all affected parties and Interfaces with the LCs to prioritize shipments. 
    • Monitors, tracks and makes work order adjustments in the ERP system to ensure reporting of design configuration variance is accurate.   
    • Manages all EPD projects to ensure launches occur on schedule for assigned brands.  Participates in NPD projects to ensure the planning responsibilities are covered for new product launches.  
    • Actively supports and participates in the Logistic Center objectives to foster a self-managed team-based environment. 


    Who - the Candidate:

    • Must have a BS degree in industrial engineering, supply chain management or a related discipline. 
    • Must have a minimum of 4 years of professional experience within a manufacturing environment. Consumer Products experience strongly preferred. 
    • Must be a team player with ability to work cross functionally and influence others.

    What – The Job 

    The custom manufacturing planner is a key member of the production planning team in this fast-paced environment. 

    • Creates long range production schedules for assigned brands utilizing forecasted requirements in MPS & JDE taking into account inventory and customer service goals/targets. 
    • Works with Plant sites to ensure supply of base finished goods required to produce Special packs, pallets, and PDQ's. 
    • Firms up demand in an MRP environment to ensure delivery of both finished goods and components match the expected ship date of the embellished product in Custom Manufacturing. 
    • Reviews daily sales activity for assigned brands in all Logistics Centers (LCs) and adjusts short term production schedules to minimize risk of service issues. 
    • Places releases with supplies for components and raw materials against contracts set up by Corporate Purchasing.  
    • Follows the Logistic Center Quality Systems Procedures (QSPs), related SOPs, control plans and work instructions to maintain compliance with ISO requirements. 
    • Manages FG and raw/packaging inventory levels to meet corporate, Logistic Center and individual goals.  Coordinates with LCs suppliers, and appropriate plant personnel to meet month end targets.  Recommends changes to procedures and work plans to improve overall management of inventory with objective of reducing inventory without increasing the risk of customer service issues. 
    • Manages obsolescence for assigned brands to minimize the financial exposure to the business caused by a change to an existing product or discontinued product. 
    • Supplies DRP as necessary to support the outbound shipping of finished goods by the Logistics dept. Communicates "hot" load information to all affected parties and Interfaces with the LCs to prioritize shipments. 
    • Monitors, tracks and makes work order adjustments in the ERP system to ensure reporting of design configuration variance is accurate.   
    • Manages all EPD projects to ensure launches occur on schedule for assigned brands.  Participates in NPD projects to ensure the planning responsibilities are covered for new product launches.  
    • Actively supports and participates in the Logistic Center objectives to foster a self-managed team-based environment. 


    Who - the Candidate:

    • Must have a BS degree in industrial engineering, supply chain management or a related discipline. 
    • Must have a minimum of 4 years of professional experience within a manufacturing environment. Consumer Products experience strongly preferred. 
    • Must be a team player with ability to work cross functionally and influence others. 
    • Must have a strong understanding of how other functions such as R&D, Marketing, Sales and Demand Planning affect manufacturing process and production. 
    • Must have proven experience working with quality systems and related SOPs and work instructions.

    Reporting to the Global Procurement Organization, the Sourcing Manager will be responsible for the development and execution of marketing procurement related activities and projects on a global scale. 
     
    This individual will partner with business unit, internal procurement partners, and external stakeholders to define and execute sourcing plans designed to maximize value for eBay. 
     
    The Sourcing Manager will leverage sourcing tools and processes to facilitate market research, identify optimal procurement scenarios, and facilitate supplier negotiations, while ultimately driving annual savings targets, improved efficiency and optimization of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). 
     
    This individual will be expected to build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders and will in parallel operate as the lead and subject matter expert on assigned sourcing initiatives linked to the marketing category.
     
    Responsibilities:
    • Direct purchases for high value Marketing related spend along with ad hoc requests as required by business units. Partner with internal and external stakeholders to capture and develop key      requirements and work to direct into appropriate buying channels in order to extract maximum value.
    • Lead cross functional teams through an end to end sourcing project plan for high risk large spend products and services inclusive of financial viability analyses, supplier risk, negotiation plans, and supplier selection. Involved in budgeting process with BU clients. Leads team in understanding how projects fall within eBay strategy.
    • Lead sourcing need identification, market research, competitive bid review, and direct negotiations while leveraging best in class procurement methodologies to ensure optimal Total Cost of Ownership.
    • Operate as the decision point relative to execution of sourcing strategies including RFx, multi-bid, market test, direct negotiations, and catalog negotiations.
    • Create contract requests and operationalize contracts for marketing procurement activities. Manage contract spend for relevant categories.
    • Analyze procurement spend to provide visibility on key savings opportunities and assist in developing a roadmap for achieving savings targets.
    • Operate as the Subject Matter Expert on assigned category. Provide category and industry knowledge to key stakeholders including market drivers and suppliers, cost structures and technical improvements.
    Requirements
    • 6-8 years relevant experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, competitive price analysis, supplier relationship management and performance management. 
    • Experience in Ariba Sourcing modules or equivalent is desirable.
    • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA desirable, including additional applicable work experience.
    • Strong track record delivering marketing procurement results in a highly dynamic environment.
    • Relevant experience leading end to end sourcing projects including need identification, market research,      competitive bid reviews, direct negotiation activities, supplier selection, and onboarding.
    • In-depth knowledge of industry and market trends including analysis of market drivers, cost structures and technical improvements.
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills including an ability to communicate effectively, build relationships, anticipate needs, and negotiate successful outcomes both internal and external. 
    • Must be a self-starter, imaginative/innovator, ambitious, driven, internally motivated, and result-oriented. Must share the team’s vision of building a world-class, global sourcing organization.
    • Able to demonstrate strategic thinking and ability to execute on strategies while demonstrating exceptional planning, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

    Primary Job Responsibilities:
    • Manage sourcing and spend activities for technology categories including hardware, software, telecom, and services
    • Develop, drive alignment, and execute sourcing strategies addressing a multi-year horizon
    • Lead cross-functional teams in the execution of sourcing initiatives
    • Create and develop strong working relationships with key internal and external partners, functioning as      procurement subject matter expert in sourcing and supplier management best practices
    • Analyze spend data, capture internal requirements and develop understanding of market trends, including analysis of market drivers, cost structures, leading suppliers and the underlying technology or service
    Job Requirements:
    • BA/BS degree, ideally with focus on Business, Operations, Supply Chain Management.  MBA or JD preferred
    • 5+ years experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain or partner management
    • Team player with collaborative style and proven track record of building successful relationships with stakeholders and suppliers
    • Experience must include negotiating commercial terms and service level agreements
    • Technology domain knowledge and experience highly desired
    • Strong influencing and leadership skills
    • Familiarity with world-class sourcing methods and tools
    • Excellent written and verbal communications skills (English)
    • Innovative and solution oriented with solid project management skills and an ability to juggle several projects simultaneously
    • Strong analytical skills (i.e. cost modelling, quotation analysis, supplier selection)
    • Expertise in the use of Microsoft Office Productivity applications required

    What we’re looking for from you:
    Ideally, we are seeking experienced, talented, and self-motivated recruitment consultants to join our close-knit and friendly Supply Chain recruitment team in Vancouver on a permanent full time basis. If you have 1 yr or more of recruitment experience with in another vertical we’d still be interested in speaking with you.

    You have an entrepreneurial mindset, take initiative, are results-oriented, have a strong sense of urgency and have strong ethics. In addition, you have at least 6 months of experience (or more) in a Recruitment Agency working on a variety of Supply Chain and Manufacturing related roles such as Procurement and Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain Management, Logistics and Distribution, Product Development, OPEX and Quality to name a few.


    Skills and Experience Required:
    • A minimum of 6 months’ recruitment experience within an Agency environment is a must have
    • Previous experience recruiting on operational, supply chain or manufacturing related roles is a big advantage. In the absence of experience a passion for Supply Chain is a must. 
    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Professional Sales or Business Development (B2B or B2C) position
    • Proven track record with cold calling, head hunting and networking
    • Experience recruiting using social media platforms
    • Strong work ethic and demonstrated experience in a high pressure, fast paced environment
    • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
