Legal Assistant/Bookkeeper

Who- the Company:

Our client provides highly personalized legal services to privately owned businesses in a wide range of industries including construction and real estate development, forestry, agriculture, manufacturing and distribution, and retail.
 

What- the Role:

Seeking a Legal Assistant/Bookkeeper who will provide administrative, practice management, and accounting support to a sole practicing lawyer. This role is best suited for someone who positive, self-driven, organized, and comfortable working independently.

  • Reconcile bank accounts;
  • Prepare invoices and reporting letters to clients;
  • Prepare, file, maintain, and organize corporate records and files;
  • Attend to correspondence and respond to client inquiries;
  • Prepare routine correspondence and forms from precedents;
  • Post entries into QuickBooks Online;
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting and legal principles, and regulatory requirements;
  • Provide day-to-day support; and
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Who – the Candidate:

  • Technology savvy, with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and QuickBooks Online;
  • Previous success in legal admin, invoicing, accounting, and office operations
  • Excellent communication, grammatical, and organization skills;
  • Detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Eager and willing learner, collaborative, and professional;
  • Demonstrated commitment to privacy and ethical conduct;
  • Ability to manage multi-priorities to meet necessary deadlines; and
  • office experience in a professional services firm.

 

How Much:

$60-80K + extended health and paid vacation.
 

Where:

Downtown Vancouver, this role is onsite 5 days/week.

What- the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Paralegal to join the team at the Downtown Vancouver office, requiring on-site presence approximately 4 days per week.
This role offers exposure to a wide variety of litigation files and responsibilities, including high-profile projects
Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting a senior lawyer on a diverse portfolio of litigation matters.
  • Preparing, reviewing, and managing detailed legal documentation and calculations.
  • Ensuring smooth progression of complex cases while handling multiple priorities effectively.
  • Collaborating across teams on high-impact projects, special initiatives, and process improvements.
  • Assisting with trial preparation, regulatory filings, and other ad hoc assignments.

Who- the Candidate:

  • Completion of a recognized Paralegal Program.
  • 5+ years of litigation experience, preferably with exposure to plaintiff-side, or mixed litigation matters.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and an analytical mindset.
  • Experience managing complex trust fund disbursement calculations or similar financial/legal reporting tasks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive approach with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with Soluno, Primafact, Clio, or other legal practice management platforms is a plus.
  • Comfortable collaborating across multiple practice areas, including complex injury, civil sexual assault, class action, or personal injury matters.
  • Experience supporting senior legal professionals, with exposure to litigation strategy, case preparation, and administrative improvements.

This role is ideal for someone with experience across diverse litigation projects.

  • Downtown Vancouver office, accessible via public transit and surrounded by amenities.
  • On-site presence ~4 days per week.

How Much:

The salary for this Paralegal role is expected to be competitive, ranging from $90,000 to $105,000 per year, based on qualifications and experience.
