Our client seeks a Legal Program Manager, AI Governance, where you'll help shape ethical and responsible AI use across their operations while collaborating with diverse cross-functional teams. Who – The Company: 

Exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing international Vancouver based company and one of Vancouver’s finest! They are a people-centric organization and known for their collaborative team culture.

What- The Role:

The Legal Program Manager, Artificial Intelligence (AI) Governance will report to the Senior Manager, Senior Counsel, Technology. The scope/responsibilities of the position require general compliance, program management skills, including:

  • Support in the development and implementation of a comprehensive AI governance framework to support ethical and responsible AI use across the organization.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with cross-functional teams, including security, digital, technology, legal, compliance, and relevant teams, to ensure the seamless integration of AI governance with enterprise-wide strategies.
  • Support the business on completing thorough AI impact assessments, for senior counsel to identify potential legal and regulatory compliance issues and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of AI governance framework, making adjustments based on evolving technologies, business needs, and regulatory landscapes.
  • Help maintain, in connection with the senior counsel, company-wide policies, guidelines and practices on applicable AI legal matters.
  • Explain complex information to business partners in a straightforward and comprehensive manner

Who – The Candidate:

  • Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable compliance operations with proven track record of success
  • 2-5 years of relevant legal program manager or privacy experience (legal in-house or corporate team experience/exposure is an asset)
  • A bachelor’s degree is an asset
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Has the ability to prioritize and manage multiple matters simultaneously in an entrepreneurial, rapidly scaling and changing environment.
  • Keen attention to detail, ability to execute requested assignments and as part of a team, and excellent organizational skills.
  • Good judgment with an understanding of when to ask for guidance or input.
  • Excellent analytical, written, verbal, research, and communication skills.

 

How much:

$53-54/hr commensurate with experience + 4% vacation pay

Where:
Vancouver, BC
Our client offers a hybrid working environment of 3 days in-office and 2 remote days.
