6-month Solution Architect contract opportunity building out fraud prevention solutions for a global brand with on site work in Vancouver.

What & Why:

As a result of investment in technology our client is looking to add a Solution Architect to their team.  This role will play a key role in designing and building scalable, resilient applications that support our clients’ global payments and fraud protection platforms. This role partners closely with architects, engineers, and business analysts to turn functional requirements into robust technical solutions. With a focus on architecture design, code reviews, and hands-on delivery, this developer will help ensure that cloud-enabled apps are reliable, secure, and adaptable to evolving business needs, particularly in complex, vendor-integrated environments.

They are located close to rapid transit in newly renovated offices in downtown Vancouver and have a hybrid work environment with 4 days a week in office.
 

You:

You will bring the following education, skills and experience to the role:

  • 1–2 years of architectural design experience for large-scale applications.
  • Strong hands-on experience building and maintaining custom in-house applications.
  • Demonstrated experience working with cloud-based backend systems (AWS preferred).
  • Experience working in complex environments involving payment processors and fraud systems/vendors.
  • Ability to collaborate with DevOps, QA, and domain architects across a wide technology stack.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, backend infrastructure, and deployment practices.
  • Proven ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical designs.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, and documentation best practices.

 

Compensation:

This role pays between $100-120 per hour.
