What & Why:

As a result of growth, our client is looking for a network engineer for their infrastructure team. As a Senior Network Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, deploying, and maintaining global network infrastructure. You will work closely with architects, operations teams, and vendors to ensure our network is secure, reliable, and optimized for performance and cost. This role requires deep technical expertise in SD-WAN, cloud networking, and network security, as well as a passion for continuous improvement and innovation. They are located close to rapid transit in newly renovated offices in downtown Vancouver and have a hybrid work environment with 3 days a week in office.
 

You:

You will bring the following education, skills and experience to the role:

  • 8+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering roles.
  • Strong hands-on experience with: - SD-WAN (e.g., Cisco, Meraki) - Cloud networking (e.g., Aviatrix, AWS, Azure) - Network security (e.g., Palo Alto, Zscaler) - Monitoring and observability tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Splunk)
  • Proficiency in routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and DNS/DHCP.
  • Experience with automation and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible, Terraform) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow) and Agile/Lean methodologies.

 

Compensation:

This role pays between $70-85 per hour.
