What & Why:

As a result of investment in technology, our client is looking to a Product Designer to their team to lead the full design process. You will work the full process, from research, wireframing, and prototyping to high-fidelity visual design all while iterating based on data, feedback, and usability testing. You will create intuitive and visually engaging web and mobile (Android) interfaces for their platform, with a focus on usability, accessibility, and brand consistency. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to understand user needs and translate them into actionable design solutions. This purpose driven organization and their small but mighty team has a goal of creating meaningful impact for the planet, nature and people.  They are looking to grow, primarily in the tech space over the next 12 months.  They have a strong culture as well as a strong client list.  They are located in East Vancouver and are in three days a week, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. They have a great benefits package and a fun team environment.
 

You:

You will bring the following education, skills and experience to the role:

  • Demonstrated background as a Product Designer, UI/UX Designer, or equivalent role in the tech industry, supported by a robust portfolio highlighting creative problem-solving and design proficiency.
  • Skilled in using Figma, with a good working knowledge of front-end development, adaptive interfaces, and maintaining scalable design systems.
  • Deep understanding of user-centered design methodologies, strong visual design skills, and a focus on mobile-first user experiences.
  • Adept at working within agile, cross-functional teams and contributing throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Experience with GIS tools or designing for map-based applications is considered an asset.
     

Compensation:

This role pays between $105-125K per annum.
