Our client is a large, admired, and well-established Canadian company in the tech sector. They have a vibrant corporate culture with fantastic people to work with and learn from.
What- the Role:
We are seeking an Equity Compensation Advisor who will report into the Senior Manager, Total Rewards.
This is a contract role with an ASAP start (quick interview process) and running for around 6 months. There is a chance for contract extension or perhaps even full-time employment down the road, but of course no guarantee. For consideration for FTE, the individual must reside in BC, Alberta, or Ontario. SWIM has placed several people on contract last year at this company who converted to full time employment.
What- the Responsibilities:
Oversee and lead long-term incentive (LTI) design process and review against market data and internal philosophy.
Oversee the equity compensation program, including end-to-end plan design, administration, governance of all equity related offerings.
This includes managing day-to-day operations of stock plans (e.g. RSUs, PSUs, Options), ensuring regulatory compliance, collaborating with stakeholders , and supporting strategic decisions related to total rewards and employee ownership.
Prepare and administer quarterly & annual Employee, Board, and Executive grants.
Partner closely with colleagues on financial reporting to ensure correct and timely reporting on cap table and FMV.
Prepare annual personal tax reporting documentation and equity filings to various regional tax authorities (related to payroll & tax).
Partner closely with legal prepare grant resolutions, maintain all agreements & required documentation; alignment & submission exercises to maintain share registry.
Who- the Candidate- Work Experience & Technical Skills:
Subject Matter Expert on all things related to Equity Compensation.
At least 5 years and preferably 8 years of experience in equity compensation, including financial modelling and reporting.
Experience working in a complex and fast-paced work environment with competing priorities.
Experience working in a global technology company is highly preferred, but not required.
Confident character to liaise with senior stakeholders, both internally and externally.
Experience collaborating with colleagues and leaders across multiple time zones.
Experience using Google suite of tools including G-Mail, Google Docs, Google Drive, Google Slides, Google Sheets, Google Calendar, Google Meet, etc.
Discreet and professional with the ability to manage highly confidential information.

How Much:
Hourly consulting rate commensurate with level of relevant experience, skills, and education- likely in the range of $48 to $70 Cdn an hour. Please discuss your compensation expectations in further detail with SWIM.

If/when this role converts to permanent employment in future, please note the total compensation package includes health & dental benefits, an RRSP match, paid vacation program, a profit-sharing program, etc.
Where:
Although there is preference for the Advisor to be based in BC, Alberta, or Ontario, our client is open to hiring someone anywhere in Canada or in Washington State.
The consultant will hopefully have some flexibility in their work hours to have meetings with colleagues from PST time zone to EST time zone.
If based in a major city where the company has an office (Vancouver & Toronto) the ask will be that the contractor work from the office a 1-2 days a week.
Otherwise, this role can be based full-time from home, as long as the contractor has a very good home-office set-up with very reliable internet connectivity.

What- the Role:
The Payroll & Benefits Analyst is a key member of the HR and Finance teams, responsible for accurate end-to-end payroll, benefits administration, and HRIS (Dayforce) operations across a global workforce. This role ensures compliance, supports financial reporting, and maintains smooth HR processes that align with organizational goals.
Process and reconcile full-cycle payroll and benefits across multiple regions.
Prepare journal entries and support month-end reporting in partnership with Finance.
Manage statutory reporting, tax filings, and year-end requirements.
Maintain and administer the HRIS (Dayforce), ensuring data integrity, system updates, and troubleshooting.
Serve as the first point of contact for payroll, benefits, and HRIS inquiries.
Prepare payroll, benefits, and workforce analytics reports to support decision-making.
Support HR generalist tasks, including documentation and ad hoc projects.
Who – the Candidate:
Certificate or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, PCP, or a related field.
CHRP or PCP certification is an asset.
2–5 years of experience in payroll and benefits administration.
Strong experience with HRIS systems, preferably Dayforce or similar platforms.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, macros, pivot tables).
Experience supporting change management or process improvement initiatives.
Strong analytical ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
Knowledge of employment laws and regulations related to compensation, payroll, and HR practices.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
How Much:
For temp assignment:$28.13/hr - $34.38/hr + 4% vacation pay
For permanent role: $58,500 - $71,500
Where:
Port Coquitlam, BC, 5 days onsite.
