Manager, Corporate Accounting & Reporting (6 month contract)

What- the Role:
This contract position is ideal for a CPA with strong public company experience and proven leadership skills. Reporting to senior finance leadership, the Manager, Corporate Accounting & Reporting will:
- Oversee corporate accounting and budgeting for multiple legal entities.
- Manage accounts payable, intercompany transactions, and corporate cash flow.
- Lead and mentor a small team of junior accounting staff.
- Contribute to financial reporting, management reporting, and system maintenance.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including Treasury and IT.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee accounting and financial reporting for corporate legal entities.
- Manage the full AP cycle and employee expense reporting.
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting process for the corporate function.
- Handle intercompany transactions and calculate/record management fees.
- Provide oversight on certain metal sales transactions.
- Partner with Treasury on cash management and planning.
- Contribute to quarterly and annual financial statement preparation (IFRS).
- Maintain SAP system integrity for corporate entities.
- Support finance-related IT initiatives at both corporate and operational levels.
Who- the Candidate:
We’re looking for an experienced, professional, and detail-oriented CPA who can hit the ground running and add value immediately.
Required Qualifications:
- CPA designation with 7+ years of experience in public accounting and/or a public company.
- Familiarity with IFRS and public company reporting standards.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing or mentoring staff.
- Advanced Excel and large ERP system experience, ideally SAP and a consolidation system.
- Professional presence with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and tight deadlines.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Mining or natural resources industry experience.
- Spanish or Portuguese language skills (not required but a bonus).
- Ability to travel if needed (minimal, up to 10%).
How Much:
Competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience in the range of $62.50 - $67.30/hr (+ 4% vacation pay).
Where:
This is a full-time, onsite role based at the client’s corporate head office in Vancouver, BC, easily accessible by public transit.
