Join a dynamic team as a Financial Accountant and play a pivotal role in a high-impact ERP system integration.
This is a 6-month contract

What- the Role:

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Accountant to assist with the integration of a new ERP system (NetSuite). The role will focus on ensuring the accuracy and consistency of financial data across 20+ companies and 50+ divisions during the transition period by performing reconciliations between the old and new systems. This role requires strong communication and project management skills to drive reconciling items across the line.

  • Perform reconciliations between the legacy system and the new ERP system to ensure accuracy and consistency of financial data.
  • Assist with dual entry of financial transactions into both the old and new systems during the transition period.
  • Identify discrepancies, variances, and reconciling items, and reach out across departments to collaborate on corrective actions.
  • Drive communication across various business units to resolve issues, ensuring alignment and timely resolution.
  • Test user access levels and permissions to ensure appropriate functionality within the new ERP system.
  • Work closely with the accounting and IT teams to troubleshoot problems and support the integration.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards throughout the transition process.
  • Assist Finance team with month end procedures

 

Who- the Candidate:

  • CPA or CPA equivalent (preferred)
  • Confidence with multiple systems, experience with Epicor and NetSuite, an asset
  • Strong project management, organizational and time management skills with a commitment to accurate, complete and detail-oriented work
  • Strong oral, written and interpersonal skills
  • Sound analytical thinking, problem solving, planning, prioritization, and execution skills
  • Adept at identifying variances and reaching across the business to drive the solutions across the line.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills
  • A collaborative and positive approach to teamwork
  • A hardworking, self-motivated, and proactive work ethic

 

How Much:

$40-45/hr commensurate with experience + benefits, 10 days prorated for contract length, meaning you will be entitled to 5 vacation days across the 6-month contract. Given the upcoming NetSuite implementation, our client’s vacation policy outlines that from Feb-April 2025, no more than 5 days can be taken consecutively and only one team member can be off at a time.
 

Where:

Based in the company’s Vancouver head office. Hybrid working schedule of MON-TUES-WED in-office and Thurs-Fri remote.
