What- the Role:
SWIM Recruiting is partnering with our client to find an Accounts Payable Administrator to join their Accounting Team on an initial 3 month contract role with a good chance of converting to permanent based on performance and business needs. This role entails managing full-cycle AP processes and close interaction with both internal and external stakeholders. Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing and processing vendor invoices, employee expenses, and credit card transactions
- Monitoring AP inboxes and responding to stakeholder inquiries
- Reconciling vendor statements and resolving discrepancies
- Maintaining AP records and collaborating with the team to streamline processes
- Assisting with weekly & ad hoc payments, month-end closings, and supporting audits
This position is ideal for someone with a strong customer-focus, excellent communication skills, and attention to detail who can thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Who- the Candidate:
We are seeking candidates with a minimum of 1 year and ideally 2 to 3 years of fast-paced and high volume full-cycle AP experience within a multi-entity company. Qualified candidates will have experience coding to different GLs and different cost centres. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) are important in this interactive role. Candidates should have intermediate level proficiency in Excel. Experience working in the retail sector is a big plus- especially working in the corporate head office of a retail company with many locations spread out across many provinces.
Where:
The Canadian headquarters are in Burnaby and a 10-minute walk from a SkyTrain station. Training will take place full-time in office, and training timelines will depend on how quickly the new AP Administrator is able to learn the systems, processes, and policies. Once they are trained up the AP Administrator can choose to work from home a couple days a week.
How Much:
The hourly rate for this role is based on experience and skills, ranging from $24.00 to $31.00 per hour. If the contractor transitions to a permanent position after 3 months, the annual salary will range from $50,000 to $65,000.
