What- the Role:
On behalf of our client, SWIM is seeking a new Accountant. The Accountant will report directly into the Supervisor, Accounting, and will work alongside several other Accountants at various levels of experience. This is a well-rounded role involving financial reporting, month/quarter/year end closing, processing accounts receivable, posting journal entries, cashflow reporting, balance sheet reconciliation, variance analysis, audit support, etc. Swim Recruiting will provide interested candidates with a detailed job description.
Who- the Candidate:
This is a great role for an accounting professional who enjoys engaging and challenging work in a fast-paced environment and collaborating with a close-knit team.
- Qualified candidates will have at least 2 years’ accounting work experience, in a similar role or perhaps in a more specialized area such as accounts receivable or treasury.
- Must have work experience in a large multi-entity company (400+ employees). Ideally global. Ideally publicly-listed.
- Relevant post-secondary education in accounting is required.
- Early stages of pursuing Canadian CPA pogrom is preferred, but not required.
- Experience using an ERP is beneficial. Intermediate-level proficiency in Excel is required.
Where- Headquarters:
Downtown Vancouver w. HYBRID flexibility. Close to public transit and many amenities like restaurants and shops. After approximately 3 months of onboarding and training, the Accountant can start to work from home up to 2 days a week. There is a set day of every work week when the whole Accounting team is working in the office together for collaboration and teambuilding.
