What & Why:
Our client, a public sector infrastructure organization, is seeking an experienced Corporate and Administrative Services Officer to support its Corporate Services and Human Resources team during a period of significant operational activity and organizational transition. This role focuses on leadership and coordination across corporate services, human resources, and health and safety functions, with responsibilities that include policy and process improvement, labour relations support, workforce planning, business planning, and executive-level operational support. You will work closely with senior leadership to help strengthen internal programs, support day-to-day corporate operations, and contribute to transition-related initiatives in a structured, highly visible environment.

The environment is operational, unionized, and highly structured, with a strong focus on safety, service delivery, accountability, and collaboration across internal teams and external stakeholders.
You:
You are a senior corporate services or human resources leader with experience operating in complex, fast-paced environments. You are comfortable balancing strategic and operational responsibilities, working with executives, supporting labour relations matters, and helping organizations improve processes and navigate change.
You bring strong judgment, leadership presence, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while supporting day-to-day business needs and longer-term organizational initiatives.
Critical experience requirements include:
- 15+ years of progressive experience in human resources, corporate services, business administration, or related senior leadership roles.
- Experience leading or supporting complex, multi-disciplinary initiatives.
- Strong experience in labour relations, including collective bargaining and collective agreement administration.
- Experience supporting HR functions such as performance management, workforce planning, diversity and inclusion, and employee development.
- Experience with policy, process, and program improvement in structured environments.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including experience working with executives, employees, unions, and external partners.
- Strong organizational, judgment, and decision-making skills in sensitive or high-accountability environments.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
Nice to have:
- CHRP designation.
- Experience working in unionized environments.
- Experience supporting organizational transition, integration, or change initiatives.
- Experience in public sector, crown agency, transportation, or infrastructure settings.
- Experience supporting health and safety functions alongside HR or corporate services.
