This is a short-term temporary contract to support for upcoming vacation coverage on their Shipping & Receiving team. Ideally, they are looking for someone with prior experience in a similar environment and comfortable using handheld scanning devices to receive packages, supporting employees with package pick-up, and scanning items out of the system once picked up.
Contract dates: April 27 – May 19, excluding May 18.

What- The Role:
- Welcome and assist employees, couriers, and vendors in the mailroom, ensuring a smooth and professional experience.
- Oversee all incoming and outgoing mail, continuously optimizing processes to support our rapid growth.
- Establish and maintain efficient shipping and receiving routines, prioritizing speed, accuracy, and consistency.
- Coordinate and oversee all outbound shipments, ensuring products are shipped and received according to schedule.
- Collaborate regularly with Shipping & Receiving Specialists, the Office Services Manager, and key stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
- Work cross-functionally with Logistics, Technology, Product, and Brand teams to streamline processes and address needs.
- Provide couriers with necessary documentation for delivery exceptions and customs clearance.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and orderly mailroom, ensuring it remains conducive to productivity and safety.
- Conduct departmental audits on a bi-weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis, producing and maintaining reports for department leadership.
- Serve as the subject matter expert on customs requirements, shipping declarations, and packaging specifications.
- Support employees by offering guidance and answering queries related to shipping procedures.
- Coordinate remote pick-up processes with vendors across Canada, the U.S., and internationally.
- Maintain up-to-date shipping and receiving information on internal communication platforms for easy access and reference.
- Manage and order mailroom supplies and necessary equipment to ensure smooth operations.
- Take on special projects and additional assignments as directed by the Office Services Manager.
Who- the Candidate:
- Completion of secondary school and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively.
- Outstanding guest service, organizational, and time management skills, with a focus on delivering results.
- Discreet and trustworthy, with the ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with flexibility and adaptability.
- High attention to detail and a task-oriented mindset, with strong problem-solving abilities and a collaborative spirit.
- Committed to fostering diversity and inclusivity in the workplace.
- Regular lifting (up to 50 lbs.) and handling of pallets (50 lbs. or more) with care and safety.
- Proven analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
- Familiarity with shipping documentation and an understanding of related processes and requirements.
- Reliable and responsible, with a strong sense of accountability and commitment to tasks.
- Creative and innovative, with a passion for generating new ideas and thinking outside the box.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite programs.
How much:
Hourly wage in the range of $29-30/hr + 4% vacation pay.
Where:
Vancouver, 5 days onsite in office.
