HR & Payroll Coordinator
Join our team as an HR & Payroll Coordinator and play a key role in keeping HR operations running smoothly while supporting employees across the organization. This is a 1-month contract to start with good possibility for extension or possible permanent hire.

What- The Role:
The HR & Payroll Coordinator supports day-to-day HR operations with a focus on payroll administration, employee lifecycle support, and recruitment coordination. This role requires hands-on experience with ADP, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
- Manage payroll, ensuring timely and accurate processing of salaries, overtime, bonuses, deductions, and adjustments using ADP.
- Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies and assist with month-end and year-end payroll processes, reporting, reconciliations, and audits.
- Maintain and update personnel files, payroll records, HRIS data, and benefits information.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, payroll, benefits, and procedures.
- Coordinate recruitment activities, including job postings, resume screening, interview scheduling, candidate communication, and offer documentation.
- Support employee onboarding and offboarding, including system access setup/removal, documentation, orientation, and ensuring compliance with HR procedures.
- Assist with HR projects, employee relations matters, and general administrative duties as needed.
- Ensure confidentiality, compliance with HR policies, and accurate record-keeping.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support smooth HR operations.
Who- the Candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in HR, Payroll, or HR Operations, including 1+ year hands-on experience with ADP.
- CPHR designation is an asset.
- Working knowledge of employment legislation, payroll regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Experience supporting month-end payroll processing and general HR administration.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage competing priorities.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in ADP, Microsoft Office Suite, and Business Central.
- Industry-specific knowledge in HVAC, construction, or related fields is an asset.
How much:
$29-$33.50/hr + 4% vacation
Where:
North Vancouver, BC, 5 days’ onsite
