6-month Solution Architect contract opportunity building out supply chain technology solutions for a global brand with on site work in Vancouver

What & Why:

As a result of investment in technology our client is looking to add a Solution Architect to their team. This role focuses on designing and evolving scalable technology solutions that support the movement of products from manufacturers to distribution centers, stores, and guests. You’ll own systems architecture for SaaS platforms supporting vendor and proprietary systems across logistics and international trade activities. The position requires collaborating closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to craft solution roadmaps, ensure implementations align with architectural standards, and mentor delivery teams while championing innovation, integration best practices, and enterprise-wide architectural integrity throughout the development lifecycle.

They are located close to rapid transit in newly renovated offices in downtown Vancouver and have a hybrid work environment with 4 days a week in office.
 

You:

You will bring the following education, skills and experience to the role:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience developing, deploying, and maintaining scalable cloud-based software systems, with proven expertise in AWS (preferred), Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• 5+ years of experience architecting retail/supply chain applications, with strong preference for logistics technology domain knowledge and understanding of product movement lifecycle.
• Deep expertise in integration technologies and microservices architecture, including experience integrating Cloud/SaaS applications, APIs, SDKs, packaged applications, and legacy systems.
• Strong data architecture capabilities including experience with analytics pipelines, visualization frameworks, scalable data solutions, and working within DevOps operating models utilizing cloud infrastructure.

Compensation:

This role pays between $100-115 per hour.
