What & Why:

Due to a continued investment in analytics we are seeking an experienced Lead Power BI Developer to guide a team of BI developers in building enterprise-grade dashboards and reporting solutions within the Azure cloud environment. This role is responsible for leading Power BI design and development, ensuring data accuracy and performance, and implementing best practices in data modeling, visualization, and governance. Ideally you have a strong technical foundation in SQL and Power BI, hands-on experience with data warehousing, and proven leadership skills mentoring BI teams. You should bring a curious, solution-oriented mindset, excellent communication abilities, and the drive to deliver clear insights that empower business decisions.

They have an all-star leadership team who keeps you accountable and provides support while still affording you tremendous autonomy. They are located close to rapid transit in newly renovated offices in downtown Vancouver and have a primarily in-office work environment with 4 days a week in office.
 

You:

You will bring the following education, skills and experience to the role:

• 8+ years’ experience designing and developing Power BI Reports & Dashboards with SQL data sources (preferably data warehouses) within Azure cloud.
• 2+ years in a Team Lead or leadership/mentorship position with experience mentoring other Power BI Developers and providing thought leadership through a strategic lens with Power BI and Microsoft/ Azure perspective, as well as implementing and enforcing best practices for a team of Power BI Developers.
• 4+ years working with data modelling skillsets shown through experience with transforming data using SQL in enterprise size companies (1000+ employees).

Compensation:

This role pays between $90-100 per hour.
