Sales & Operations Planning Senior Analyst

This is a 15-month contract through January 2027. 
 

Who – The Company:

What- The Role:

Sales & Operations Planning designs systems, structures, and processes that align sales plans with Distribution Centre (DC) inventory placement and fulfillment network utilization. As a centre of excellence for inventory flow optimization, they are the bridge between Product vision and DC execution. The Senior Analyst uses their expertise in forecasting and analytics to deliver world-class solutions for increasingly complex inventory management and fulfillment challenges. Supporting all global regions, this role ensures the Product vision is executed via optimized inventory placement, inventory flow between DCs/stores/guests, and proactive identification of risks and opportunities.

• Support the Senior Planner developing & enhancing distribution centre (DC) on hand inventory forecast models and executing monthly updates that reflect changes to sales and purchase plans.
• Identify risks/challenges with DC inventory levels and drive solutions pre and post-buy in partnership with Global Fulfillment teams.
• Optimize ecommerce inventory placement across North America DCs by analyzing demand trends, manage purchase order (PO) changes.
• Collaborate with Global Planning and Global Fulfillment teams to translate forecasts into actionable supply chain plans for seamless execution.
• Consider the shifting and unpredictable macro trade environment and partner cross-functionally to develop both immediate mitigation solutions and longer-term optimization strategies as it relates to inventory placement within the North America DC network.
• Forecast DC demand splits for retail and ecom based on historical patterns and anticipated future shifts.
• Enhance and maintain Power BI Dashboards and perform data updates as needed.
• Analyze historical data and current trends to identify business risks and opportunities, recommend strategies to achieve financial goals.

Who – The Candidate:

• University degree in business, inventory management, supply chain/distribution, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a related function (retail/DC forecasting, inventory management, merchandise planning, supply chain).
• 3+ years of experience in data analytics and reporting (PowerBI, SQL, Excel).
• Proven excellence in identifying and communicating business insights to cross functional partners and management.
• Excellent team player as well as the ability to work independently.

How much:

$41-42.50/hr commensurate with experience + 4% vacation pay.
 

Where:

Vancouver, BC, 4 days’ onsite.
