What- the Role:

On behalf of our client, Swim Recruiting is seeking a new People & Culture Business Partner (i.e. HRBP) who will be based in the corporate headquarters in Vancouver. The P&C BP will report into a Director of P&C and will work alongside many HR colleagues.
The new Business Partner will support a diverse employee population including people working in the following corporate shared services departments: accounting & finance, IT, people & culture, business development, marketing, and supply chain. This is a well-rounded role involving many areas of HR such as leadership coaching, employee relations, performance management, talent attraction & talent acquisition, HR analytics, HR systems, HR policy implementation and enforcement, succession planning, organizational development, onboarding & offboarding processes, learning & development, retention strategies, culture & engagement, change management, internal communications, etc.

Who- the Candidate:

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive HR professional with great communication and interpersonal skills.  The selected candidate will have at least 6 years of relevant HR work experience, preferably within a complex business with operations and employees across multiple geographies.
 

What- the Qualifications:

  • 7+ years progressive experience in human resources. 
  • Relevant post-secondary education required (within HR, commerce, business, etc.). CPHR is preferred, not required.
  • Working knowledge of relevant of Provincial, State, and Federal regulations and laws related to HR policies and practices (experience supporting employees in both US and Canada is highly desirable- the more provinces and states, the better! But BC is most important).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle diverse HR work in a fast-paced, fluid, and entrepreneurial work environment.
  • True business partnership approach, with ability to build relationships across all corporate departments. Ability to confidently provide HR consultation and information to C-Suite executives, such as CFO, COO, CEO, CHRO, etc. Collaborative and self-motivated.
  • Exposure to post-acquisition integration from an HR perspective is an asset.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with all corporate departments in the business and to influence senior leaders and executives.
  • Systems savvy, with hands-on experience using HRIS and ATS. HRIS optimization, implementation, or automation experience is a huge asset!

 

How Much:

Very competitive total compensation commensurate with level of HR skills, experience, and education- in the range of $100,000 to $130,000. Please note that for the high end of the range candidates will likely need to have all the “nice to have” qualifications. The company will provide their new P&C BP with a solid overall compensation package, including a generous bonus program, professional development support, and excellent health, dental, & vision benefits. Where:  

This company is headquartered in the heart of Downtown Vancouver in a beautiful corporate office. The People & Culture Business Partner will probably work in the office 5 days a week during training and onboarding. After that, they can choose to work from home 1 day a week. Occasional business travel is anticipated in this role, mostly within Canada and very rarely to the US, no more than 10%.
