We have an exciting opportunity for a Director, Financial Reporting to join a reputable, well-established mining company headquartered in Vancouver. This is a great opportunity for a technical accounting leader looking to make an impact in a dynamic, global organization.
 

Who- the Company:

Our client is a leading Canadian company with global operations, known for its stability, strong reputation, and commitment to excellence.
 

What- the Role:

Reporting to the VP, Finance, the Director, Financial Reporting will oversee:
 

• External and internal financial reporting, consolidations, and complex accounting.
• Corporate accounting, forecasting, and internal controls.
• IFRS financial statement preparation and audit coordination.
• Accounting policies and compliance with industry regulations.
• Financial systems management, including SAP S/4HANA.
• Leading, mentoring, and developing a larger team.

Who- the Candidate:

We are seeking a highly technical professional with 12+ years of progressive experience, ideally gained in public practice or a mix of industry and public practice, preferably in the mining sector.
 

• Strong IFRS expertise and knowledge of public company reporting requirements.
• Experience with accounting/consolidation systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, Cognos Controller).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion in a public company setting.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to operating sites.

How Much:

Competitive base salary commensurate with experience and skills, likely in the range of $200,000-$230,000, bonus, equity participation, RRSP and excellent extended health benefits. Please discuss further with SWIM.
 

Where:

Our client’s corporate office is located in Vancouver, BC, easily accessible by public transit and requires employees to work onsite full-time.
