Established and reputable international public mining company headquartered in Vancouver.
What- the Role:
The Supervisor, Accounting will lead the consolidation process for multiple business units. Overseeing a team of four senior accountants, the Supervisor ensures accurate submission and consolidation of financial data, prepares adjustments, and serves as a subject matter expert to support operational accounting needs. This role also involves mentoring team members and collaborating with head-office teams to deliver effective solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead monthly financial consolidation processes.
- Coach and guide team members on accounting practices and system usage.
- Prepare and review detailed working papers, consolidation adjustments, and reconciliations.
- Collaborate with operations teams to streamline processes and address challenges.
- Review financial statements, reports, and external disclosures to ensure accuracy.
- Contribute to major transactions, including acquisitions and IFRS implementations.
- Supervise accounting for head-office entities, including royalty and streaming arrangements.
- Provide insights for system improvements related to consolidation and reporting.
Who- the Candidate:
- CPA designation with 5+ years of experience in a large accounting environment.
- Expertise in consolidation, management reporting, and multi-currency operations.
- Proficient in IFRS, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and industry-specific accounting.
- Advanced Excel and system skills, including Hyperion HFM and top-tier general ledgers.
- Strong leadership, collaboration, and mentoring abilities.
- Effective communication skills with a focus on driving positive change.
How Much:
$117,000 – $144,000 commensurate with experience + annual performance bonus, profit share plan, health + personal spending account, extended health, 3 weeks’ vacation and many additional perks!

Vancouver, Hybrid work model of in-office/remote, 3 days onsite
