What- the Role:
On behalf of our client, SWIM is seeking a Payroll Manager. This position reports to an experienced Payroll Director and involves managing a team of 2-5, with potential growth as the organization expands. The ideal candidate will bring experience in mergers and acquisitions, adeptly navigating the complexities of integrating payroll systems. This role is responsible for compliance with all federal and provincial payroll regulations and will oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of payroll systems and procedures.
Who- the Candidate:
We are looking for candidates with experience within large organizations (1,000+ employees). Qualified candidates will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years of payroll experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role. Preferably administered hourly and unionized Payroll.
- Strong understanding of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Experience with payroll software (e.g., UKG preferred, Workday, etc.) and HRIS integration.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is preferred.
Where:
This role can be worked mostly remotely with occasional meetings to attend at the office in the Lower Mainland, or hybrid work arrangement if preferred.
How Much:
The salary for this position is expected to be in the range of $98-110,000 and commensurate with experience. Additional compensation includes:
- A strong RRSP package, please discuss with SWIM.
- A bonus structure, with a performance-based potential of approximately 10%.
