Full time IT Manager opportunity with a global Building Materials Manufacturing company with over 50 years of history. Fully onsite in Richmond, located just off the highway.

What & Why:

Our client, a manufacturer that has made possible the construction of large-scale structures around the globe is looking to hire an IT Manager for a permanent opportunity. This role has previously not existed, but is now required in order to support the company in their growth. You will be responsible for managing a small internal team as well as third-party vendors, as well as provide hands-on support whenever required for the company’s IT environment which is mostly Microsoft, and almost fully on Azure.

Backed by a private equity firm, our client has growth and expansion plans globally and this is a great opportunity to work with an entrepreneurial and down-to-earth leadership team.
 

You:

You will bring the following education, skills and experience to the role:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or similar.

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of IT experience, with at least 1-2 years in a management/leadership role.
  • Proven working experience as an IT Supervisor, IT Manager, IT Project Manager, or similar.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and team-building skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge across broad subjects, such as network infrastructure, software and applications, information systems security, managed services, technology implementation, and data management.
  • Advanced knowledge in cybersecurity is considered an asset.
  • Ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams, or project allocated resources (internal or outsourced).

 

Compensation:

$110,000-$135,000/year base salary plus 10% bonus and RRSP contribution.
