6 month Snowflake Data Engineer contract role with a growing team.

What & Why:

As a result of growth our client is looking to add a contract data engineer to their growing team.  n this role you will develop and deploy Predictive Models: build, tune, and maintain machine learning models in data bricks using python, r, or java.  You will also design and implement ML solutions tailored to specific use cases and data characteristics.  Other key responsibilities include Data Modelling and Analysis, ML Model Optimization and Maintenance.  This role will work closely with product managers, business analysts, architects, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions and collaborate with software engineers to integrate models into production systems. This is a great chance to join a growing team delivering value to the entire organization.

They are located close to rapid transit in newly renovated offices in downtown Vancouver and have a hybrid work arrangement with 3 days a week in office.

You:

You will bring the following education, skills and experience to the role:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer is needed
  • Proven hands-on experience in creating, tuning, and maintaining machine learning models in enterprise environments. (Required)
  • Proficiency in Python and R, with experience using Databricks for model development.
  • Deep understanding of various machine learning modelling methods and their applications.
  • Experience with data modelling techniques and tools.
  • Experience with MongoDB, Snowflake, Postgres, AWS Cloud, and PowerBI.
  • Experience with supply chain or retail organizations is preferred

Compensation:

this role pays between $95-110
