What- the Role:  

We are seeking a new Senior Corporate Development Analyst who will undertake quantitative analysis to support the company’s position on potential investments, market opportunities, joint ventures, business partnerships, mergers & acquisitions (M&A), organic growth such as setting-up offices in new geographies, and ad hoc strategic initiatives. The Senior Analyst will work alongside several others in Corporate Development and Strategy under the guidance of very impressive leadership. Responsibilities are diverse and will include complex market research, manipulation & maintenance of key economic models, due diligence work, negotiation support, business case preparation, cost/benefit analysis, and ad hoc financial modeling.

Who- the Candidate: 

We are looking for highly analytical individuals who are business-minded, hands-on yet strategic, and who have the drive and talent to learn the company’s business inside-out. Detail-orientation and an analytical mindset are paramount in this role. Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with a variety of stakeholders, including executive leadership, are essential. Our client has a high performing culture, and we are seeking a proven Corp Dev Analyst who can seamlessly integrate with this collaborative team and reciprocate help to colleagues.

• At least 5 years’ and preferably over 7 years of progressive work experience, perhaps in investment banking, management consulting, or private equity. 
• Must have a relevant designation or graduate degree such as CFA or MBA. 
• Highly proficient in Excel, with ability to build sophisticated financial models and create macros from scratch. Experience using a BI tool is an asset, as is experience working with DCF models. 
• Experience in a large and complex global public company is highly preferred but not required.

How Much: 

Generous compensation total package commensurate with experience, including a performance-based bonus, excellent benefits, a pension plan, employee share purchase program, professional development support, a competitive vacation program, and a top-notch working environment.

The base salary will depend on corporate development experience, education, and skills – likely in the range of $114,000 to $148,000. Please note that the high end of this salary range is reserved for candidates who meet all the requirements and have at least 8 years of very relevant corporate development work experience. Where: 

Downtown Vancouver in a beautiful corporate office with great views and an inviting feel. Hybrid work schedule. Please note this job may involve occasional international business travel. Candidates living in other provinces are welcome to apply as long as they are very willing and able to relocate to Vancouver for this job.
