What- the Role:
Swim Recruiting is seeking a new Corporate Controller for this great organization. The new Controller will lead a growing team of 2 people and will report directly to the GM and working closely with the President. In this pivotal role, you'll be the linchpin of their financial operations, providing strategic leadership and expert guidance. As the internal expert overseeing day-to-day accounting activities, financial reporting, payroll management, and more, you will be an integral part of the management team. SWIM will provide interested and qualified candidates with a detailed job description.

Who- the Candidate:
We are seeking a designated accountant with at least 5 years’ progressive and relevant accounting work experience within a medium-sized or larger business during high growth periods. Strong candidates will have experience training, coaching, mentoring, and leading a team. Qualified candidates will be business savvy and able to see the big picture while still managing the details. Experience with a growing a mid-size private organization is preferred, as is hands-on experience using an ERP and reporting in complex organizations. Great role for folks who thrive in a fast-paced, high-change, and entrepreneurial work environment!

• Strong management accounting background with experience in operating business industries.

• CPA designation a must.

• Ability to identify areas of improvement, devise strategies, and lead implementation efforts.

• Proficiency in financial reporting under Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE).

• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to adapt style to various circumstances.

• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize workload effectively.

• Highly adaptable, thriving in entrepreneurial and changing work environments.

• Maintains strict confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism.

Where:
Burnaby close to transit and outstanding amenities including restaurants, and shops. More presence required in the HQ in the first few months while establishing relationships and getting to know the company. Longer term, the Controller can potentially work from home a couple days per week.

How Much:
$110,000 – $120,000 base salary commensurate with experience. The total compensation includes a performance-based bonus, 4 weeks vacation, free parking, PD support and health & dental benefits.
