What & Why:
As a result of growth within their digital delivery team our client is looking to add another Scrum Leader to their team. This team is implementing enterprise tooling to serve an internal engineering community of over 600+ engineers. Under that group, you will be a Scrum Leader for two teams developing the Gitlab platform to support teams migrating away from Jenkins-based pipelines, creating additional tooling where gaps have been identified, and supporting adopting teams on how to build their own Gitlab pipelines in a standardized way. This role educates and guides stakeholders to get their teams’ backlogs prioritized and refined, ensures the team has estimated the sprint ahead while the active sprint has strong support on resolving impediments. The Scrum Leader steers their teams on how to rely on the Scrum framework to guide work cadence and adaptations. You constantly seek ways to improve the team to get faster, smoother, better and overall fosters a spirit of continuous improvement. It is important to know that these teams do not have a single product owner and that role is fulfilled by a few technical advisors on the larger team. Ideally you have experience navigating a large enterprise organization and a proven ability to establish relationships with other teams and scrum masters. This is a hybrid on site role, with 3 days a week in office.

They are located close to rapid transit in newly renovated offices in downtown Vancouver and this role will be hybrid in office 3 days a week.
You will bring the following education, skills and experience to the role:
3+ years of Scrum Leader/Scrum Master experience
Certified Scrum Master
Expertise with JIRA and Confluence
Experience mentoring a few teams at the same time
Demonstrated experience utilizing empirical evidence to improve team visibility and output
Experience with Kanban, Lean and flow a plus
Strong communication skills, team management and ability to build relationships across cross-functional teams
