Our client is an international consulting firm with several decades of history that provides professional services on diverse and large-scale projects taking place around the world. This organization hires people who are self-motivated and who are collaborative team players who can also work autonomously. They have a fun-loving, entrepreneurial, and dynamic corporate culture. 

What- the Role:
Our client is seeking a new Human Resources Coordinator to join their HR & Recruitment team of 10 people. This is a newly created position due to company growth. The HR Coordinator will report into the HR Manager, and will work very closely HR Advisors, Generalists, Business Partners, Recruiters, etc. This role entails a great blend of Recruitment support (scheduling interviews across multiple time zones, tracking status of searches, posting jobs, phone screens, references, background checks, etc.) and HR Administration support (researching Canadian employment law, onboarding, benefits administration, updating employee SharePoint site with new info, HR policy revisions, etc.). The HR Coordinator will be using an HRIS and ATS, and plenty of other tools such as the full MS Office Suite (especially Excel, Outlook, and Word), OneDrive, and Sharepoint. Who- the Candidate:
We are seeking candidates with at least 2 years’ relevant work experience in HR administration and/or recruitment support.

  • Qualified candidates will have Canadian HR work experience gained in a company of 400 to 2000 employees and foundational understanding of Canadian employment law (ideally for both BC and Ontario).  

  • Post-secondary education is required, preferably related to human resources. Active pursuit of CPHR certification is highly preferred.  

  • Experience working in the professional services sector is an asset, but not required (for example, consulting firm, law firm, accounting firm, architecture firm, engineering firm, etc.). Experience working for a global company is preferred but not required.

  • Qualified candidates will be proficient in the MS Office suite, and hands-on experience using OneDrive and Sharepoint is preferred.

  • Excellent English communication skills are of course key (written and verbal), and fluency in a second language (especially Spanish) is advantageous.

  • In terms of soft skills, we are looking for someone who is confident, professional, friendly, detail-oriented, articulate, and passionate about their long-term career path in HR!

Competitive base salary, commensurate with relevant experience, education, and skills. Where:
Downtown Vancouver. The corporate office has showers and bike lockers on site, and many employees commute to work by bike, transit, or foot. After onboarding and training, the HR Coordinator can work on a hybrid schedule of minimum 3 days/week in office.
