Interesting and diverse payroll position involving the processing of 8 different payrolls (mostly Canadian employees, some American). Working closely with a Payroll Manager. Well-established, stable, and successful company with a friendly corporate culture. The role will involve benefits administration and HR systems work, if the Payroll Administrator is interested in those areas.

A reputable and successful company that was established over 30 years ago. The organization has an impressive leadership team, solid reputation, and interesting history, with business interests and major investments in a variety of areas, including real estate.  

What- the Role: 
On behalf of our client, SWIM is seeking to hire a new Payroll Administrator who will report into the Manager of Payroll & Benefits. This company runs 8 different payrolls- in various Canadian provinces and US states. The company uses 3 different payroll systems- Ceridian and ADP software. Employees on the payroll are a mix of permanent and casual, as well as salary, hourly, and commission. This role involves a lot of variety and interesting payroll work! Additionally, the Payroll Administrator will work their manager on benefits administration and HR systems work. SWIM will provide interested candidates with a full job description.

Who- the Candidate: 
We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and reliable payroll professional who has hands-on payroll processing experience. BC payroll experience is required, and ideally candidates will have experience with payroll processing in other Canadian provinces and/or in US states.  

  • A high level of integrity is essential, as is the natural ability to keep payroll matters confidential and private.

  • Relevant post secondary education such as a diploma in accounting, business administration or related field.

  • PCP designation is highly preferred, or active pursuit of PCP courses.

  • Benefits administration experience is very beneficial but not required.

  • Experience using payroll systems, ideally ADP and/or Ceridian.

  • Proficiency in Excel is very important in this role.

  • Polished and professional business communication skills are key.

Downtown Vancouver in a beautiful corporate office, close to a Skytrain station.
