We are seeking an exceptional Legal Assistant to fulfil a 12 month contract. We require someone with a strong business sense and sense of urgency! This is a unique opportunity to join a very progressive and career-oriented organization, so we are looking for like-minded individuals. This role requires a mature and professional attitude, excellent organizational and communication skills. The incumbent must also have the ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, competing priorities and meet strict deadlines under pressure. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of Legal Assistant or Paralegal experience, ideally derived from a large law firm. Proficiency with ALF. Excellent written and communication skills, attention to detail, systems working knowledge, and proficiency using MS Office 365.
What – the Opportunity:
Reporting to a Corporate Partner, and working directly with clients, accountants and other professional advisors, the Legal Assistant will be responsible for handling all types of dividends, share transfers, subscriptions, issuances, minute book reviews, deal with due diligence and closing documents, customized share structures and alterations, incorporations, reorganizations, amalgamations, dissolutions and restorations, BC and Federal corporate filing and other ad hoc tasks.
