What- the Role:
On behalf our client, SWIM is seeking a new Accountant, who will work alongside several others in project accounting as well as peers in corporate accounting, financial planning & analysis, accounts payable, and other areas of accounting & finance. This is a newly created headcount due to company growth.
The Accountant will be responsible for preparing project financial statements, project cashflow forecasting, draw preparation, reconciliations, variance analysis and ad hoc financial analysis, month/quarter/year end close, coding costs to the correct cost centres and projects, liaising with project managers and suppliers, etc. The Accountant will be doing the full-cycle accounting for 2 to 6 real estate projects at a time (varies depending on size and complexity of the project). SWIM will provide a full job description to interested candidates.
Who- the Candidate:
We are seeking candidates with at least 2 years and ideally 3+ years of work experience in a similar project accounting or cost accounting role with a complex multi-entity company. Experience working for a real estate or construction company is preferred, but we’re also open to candidates who have worked in other or other project-based industries (architecture, engineering consultancy, infrastructure, utilities, large-scale events, etc). Candidates will have excellent communication skills as the new Accountant will be liaising regularly with variety of internal and external stakeholders. Proficiency in Excel is required. Pursuit of CPA designation is preferred but not required.

Base salary commensurate with level of accounting work experience, education, and skills- please discuss further with SWIM.
