Accounts Payable Administrator
Very exiting and high-growth company in the retail sector! This organization is a household name in Europe, and is now building a major presence in Canada, as well. This is a great opportunity to “get in on the ground floor” and to develop your career in tandem with the company’s growth across the country. Dynamic, diverse, and fun-loving corporate culture. Great accounting & finance leaders to learn from. Complex, successful, and interesting business. Excellent opportunity for long-term career growth.
Who- the Company:
This is truly a “best of both worlds” scenario- the excitement and fast-pace that comes with building in a start-up type environment, along with the stability, resources, and strategic vision that comes from working for a well-established and successful global company. If you live in Vancouver, you may not yet know who the company is, but you will soon! They are pouring millions into marketing in Canada, and have substantial growth forecasted over the next 2+ years.
What- the Role:
On behalf of our client, SWIM is recruiting for a new Accounts Payable Administrator who will report directly into the Accounting Manager, a wonderful boss and mentor who was placed by SWIM a few months ago! The AP Administrator will be working alongside 2 other people in AP. The role involves coding invoices to different general ledgers and cost centres, and there is a good deal of internal communication with colleagues in accounting as well as all other departments. SWIM will provide interested candidates with a detailed job description.
Who- the Candidate:
We are seeking candidates with a minimum of 1 year and ideally 2 to 3 years of fast-paced and high volume full-cycle AP experience with a multi-entity company. Qualified candidates will have experience coding to different GLs and different cost centres. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) are important in this interactive role. Candidates should have intermediate level proficiency in Excel. Experience working in the retail sector is beneficial- especially working in the corporate head office of a retail company with many locations spread out across various provinces… but retail sector experience is not required!
Base salary will be in-line with AP experience, skills, and relevant education- please discuss further with SWIM! The total compensation package at this company is robust and includes…
paid time off / vacation
profit share program
comprehensive benefits package – dental benefits, health benefits, vision benefits
professional development support
The Canadian headquarters are in Burnaby, right off a Highway and a 10-minute walk from a SkyTrain station. Training will take place full-time in office, and training timelines will depend on how quickly the new AP Administrator is able to learn the systems, processes, and policies. Once they are trained up the AP Administrator can work from home a couple days a week.
This company is building a vibrant culture here in Canada, and it’s an exciting time to be in the office to form relationships with colleagues who have been transferred to Vancouver from other countries.
