Our client is looking for an Intermediate Network/Systems Administrator for a full time permanent opportunity! This position is fully on-site in Burnaby (Metrotown).

  • Strong networking skills (eg: routers, switches, firewalls, etc.)
  • Experience with VMWare, Windows Servers, Active Directory, etc.
  • Strong Communication skills as you will be working with a variety of stakeholders including management teams and internal staff.

The Network/Systems Administrator is responsible for ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of our client’s network and systems infrastructure. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a strong commitment to delivering excellent service and support to internal stakeholders.

  • Manage and administer the organization’s network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
  • Monitor network performance and ensure its availability and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot network problems and outages.
  • Upgrade network hardware and software components as required.
  • Install, configure, and maintain server operating systems and applications.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
  • Implement and maintain security measures to protect systems and data.
  • Ensure data integrity and implement backup and recovery procedures.

You:

  • Minimum 3 years’ as a Network/Systems Admin.
  • Experience with configuring and maintaining routers, switches, firewalls, VPN’s, etc.
  • Experience with Windows Servers, Active Directory, VMWare, etc.
  • Experience with scripting in Powershell, JavaScript, Shell or Bash
  • Any experience with Linux systems would be considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure systems including operating systems, consolidated storage, network components, virtualization technologies and backup systems.
  • Practical knowledge of automated system and network monitoring tools.

Compensation:  
$75,000 - $80,000
