What & Why:

Our client is investing heavily into technology and is looking to add a data analyst to their team. You will be part of an analytics team partnering with all product functions, from design and development to sourcing, logistics, merchandising, planning, and allocation. You will also be responsible for developing analysis methodologies, conducting peer review, producing advanced data models, and communicating actionable findings back to business stakeholders. They have invested majorly in technology and have had an incredibly successful past few years, including a major strategic acquisition. They have an all-star leadership team who keeps you accountable and provides support while still affording you tremendous autonomy. They are located close to rapid transit in newly renovated offices in downtown Vancouver and have a hybrid work model.


You will bring the following education, skills and experience to the role:

  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics in retail, apparel, consumer products, or similar industries

  • Expert-level proficiency in SQL, database management, and database structures

  • Experience using R or Python for scripting and data analysis purposes

  • Experience with a statically typed language such as C# or Java a plus

  • Coursework in time series analysis, machine learning, and/or artificial intelligence a plus

  • Comfortable working with unstructured and “messy” data

  • Bachelor’s degree in a rigorous quantitative field such as mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering, economics, physics, etc.
