This company already has a strong employment brand that is building momentum across Canada.
What- the Role:
Our client is looking to hire a new Manager, Talent Acquisition who will lead a team of 3-4 Talent Acquisition Specialists.
Collectively the TA team is responsible for full-cycle recruitment for a high volume of diverse searches across Canada and for providing candidates and new employees with an excellent experience. The TA Manager will work alongside HR colleagues in learning & development, HRIS analysis, HR projects & operations, total rewards, etc., and also collaborate with many departments outside of HR.
Because the company has been growing via M&A, there is interesting post-acquisition integration work to contribute to do with the goal of streamlining the company’s TA processes and unifying the employment brand. The TA Manager will be hands-on with their own searches/reqs while also working on strategic projects. The Manager will be a passionate brand ambassador who positively represents the company’s employee value proposition (EVP) at the office, at events, and on social media (Linkedin, Glassdoor, etc.). Who- the Candidate:
We are looking for a proven Talent Acquisition Manager with at least 5 years of progressive and relevant experience, including at least 2 years experience in a leadership capacity.
- Qualified candidates will have experience in employment branding, ATS enhancement, and talent acquisition process improvements.
- Experience leading a team of at least 3 direct reports is required.
- Experience managing a coast-to-coast Canadian recruitment portfolio (with a blend of corporate HQ hiring and regional hiring) is highly preferred but not required for a quick learner.
- Experience with a high-growth company is a definite asset, particularly with a company growing through M&A and doing post-acquisition integration.
We’re looking for a motivating and inspiring manager who leads by example, and who can coach their team to execute on strategic vision and to embody and represent the Employee Value Proposition (EVP). The TA Specialists participate in career fairs, university hiring, networking events, etc, and the Manager will likewise get involved in both internal and external employment branding. Great communication skills are crucial, as is a team-player attitude and exceptional relationship building skills.
Qualified candidates will be strong at all facets of the recruitment life cycle and can therefore coach the TA Specialists on such things as properly qualifying searches with hiring managers, creating effective job postings, strategic sourcing and headhunting methods, interview best practices, and compensation negotiations.
