What- the Role:
On behalf of our client, SWIM is seeking a new Administrative Assistant who will directly support the President. This is a fantastic opportunity for an Administrative professional who would love to become an Executive Assistant, or perhaps Office Manager, in future.
The Admin. Asst. will have a variety of responsibilities including calendar management (using Outlook), travel coordination (not a lot, mostly within North America), preparing documents and materials for meetings and presentations (using Word, PowerPoint, Canva, etc.), scheduling meetings with the Board and other stakeholders, completing expense reports (using Excel), maintaining the company’s investor database and producing investor reporting (don’t worry if this sounds intimidating, training provided!), helping out with event planning, etc. In addition to supporting the President, the Admin Asst will also provide a bit of administrative support to the Executive Director of a not-for-profit organization for children that the President created. SWIM will provide a more thorough job description to interested candidates.
Who- the Candidate:
We are looking for candidates with excellent communication skills who enjoy working collaboratively on a team and who pride themselves on a high attention to detail and high-quality work. While supporting the President first and foremost, the Administrative Assistant will also be interacting internally with colleagues in all departments (accounting & finance, sales, marketing, property management, development, acquisitions, etc.) as well as with external stakeholders. We are seeking candidates who are resourceful, upbeat, self-motivated, confident asking questions and giving ideas, and very organized.
- Around 5 years of relevant office-based administrative work experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Experience using Canva is an asset but not at all required.
- Relevant post-secondary education is preferred but not required.
- Experience working in real estate is a bonus. It’s fine if candidates have no prior work experience in real estate, just an interest in this exciting and fast-paced sector is plenty!
Located in Vancouver in a vibrant district close to transit (buses, Skytrain, Canada Line), and many shops, cafes, restaurants, and parks.
Base salary will be commensurate with level of skills and experience. Plus 3 weeks’ vacation, health & dental benefits (after a 3-month wait period), and other perks.
