Fantastic Accounting Manager opportunity for an individual with great people management and mentorship skills to join a very successful, well-managed, and well-established global company with business operations in Kelowna.

What- the Role:

On behalf of our client in Kelowna, Swim Recruiting is seeking an Accounting Manager who will lead 2 Accountants and report into the VP of Finance. The Accounting Manager will oversee a well-rounded portfolio including corporate accounting, operational accounting, financial reporting, month/quarter/year end preparation, accounting-related process improvements, financial system optimization, etc. This is a great role for someone who enjoys variety in their day-to-day work and who is eager to learn new skills with a successful, entrepreneurial, and reputable company in Kelowna.

Who- the Candidate:  

We are looking for a senior accounting professional who is a team player, a great manager and coach, and who enjoys taking on a variety of accounting and finance tasks depending on business needs.

  • Qualified candidates will have at least 5 years of relevant and progressive accounting work experience.
  • Must have experience working in a complex, fast-paced, and multi-entity business.
  • Experience doing both operational and corporate accounting.
  • Ability to partner with folks in the accounting department as well as in other functions such as sales, operations, and marketing.
  • CPA designation is highly preferred and likely required.
  • Relevant post-secondary education (in accounting, commerce, business, etc.) is required.   
  • Hands-on experience using an ERP and advanced proficiency with Excel is required.
  • Qualified candidates for this role will be both hands-on and strategic, and able to keep an eye on the details while keeping in mind the big picture.
  • Excellent communication skills, leadership skills, and relationship building abilities are crucial in this role.

How Much:

Base salary commensurate with experience- for now the range is likely $108,000 to $126,000, with the top end reserved for candidates with a very relevant 10+ years of experience who have all the requirements and many of the preferred qualifications. There will also be some form of performance-based bonus and competitive health & dental benefits.


Based in beautiful Kelowna in BC’s Okanagan Valley. This is a full-time in-office role during initial onboarding and training, after which time the Accounting Manager can start to work from home 1 day a week. We are open to considering candidates from anywhere in Canada who are very serious about relocating to Kelowna for at least 1.5 years.
