What- the Role:

Swim Recruiting is seeking a new Treasury Analyst for this great organization. Working on an accounting team of ~16 people, including folks in FP&A, Accounting, AP, and AR.

The areas of responsibility are diverse, and include managing cash flow and liquidity, monitoring/mitigating financial risks for the company, forecasting cash needs, executing bank transactions (~80 bank accounts), analyzing market trends and economic trends, and reporting (both routine and ad hoc) on financial performance & position for leadership. This is a very collaborative role, and the Treasury Analyst will work with colleagues in all departments, including operations and sales, to ensure best use of the company’s financial resources, while making sure the company remains complaint with external regulations and internal policies. Using Excel, Power BI and an ERP.  

There are long-term growth opportunities at this company- someone successful in this role can develop further into financial planning & analysis (FP&A) in the coming years.  The Treasury Analyst will contribute positively to a healthy, engaged, and solutions-oriented corporate culture. Who- the Candidate:

We are seeking an accountant (ideally CPA designated or on track to achieve designation in 2024 or 2025) with at least 4 years of progressive and relevant accounting work experience and at least 1 year specializing in treasury/cash management. Experience doing treasury/cash management for at least 30 bank accounts.

Qualified candidates will be analytical and detail-oriented, as well as business savvy and able to see the big picture. Work experience with a growing, complex, and multi-entity private organization is preferred. Candidates will have hands-on experience using an ERP and will have advanced proficiency in Excel (ability to do financial modeling, querying, and data analysis in Excel). Experience using Power BI is an asset.

Downtown Vancouver. Hybrid work schedule. More presence required in the HQ in the first months on the job while establishing relationships and getting to know the company. Longer term, the Treasury Analyst can choose to work from home 2, 3, or even up to 4 days a week, depending on what is going on at the office (2 days/week in office is usually the minimum). There are frequent on-site team collaboration days and social events. The company has a beautiful corporate office that encourages open communication.

How Much:

Base salary commensurate with relevant work experience, education & qualifications (if not designated vs designated vs pursuing), and analytical and treasury skills, likely in the range of $80,000 to $92,000. In addition to base salary, the total compensation includes an RRSP contribution, a performance-based bonus, paid health & wellness days, CPA professional development support, health & dental benefits, and some great industry-based perks.
